In this episode, I had the absolute pleasure of talking to Ryan McMasters! Aside from being an immensely talented writer and poet, Ryan is one of the kindest people I've ever met, and it was just pure joy to get to sit down with him for this conversation. I had the honor of interviewing Houston's very own Poet Laureate, Outspoken Bean, who has been a performance poet for more than a decade. He is also a teacher at Writers in the Schools and a coach for Meta-Four Houston Youth Poetry Slam Team.
