LOVECHURCH - The Podcast
The Pentecast: Day 25 - Debi Matthews
It’s day 25 of our daily Pentecast on LOVECHURCH — The Podcast. Today’s guest is Debi Matthews, back with Tim to reflect on the Sermon on the Mount — specifically Matthew 5:1–16, including the Beatitudes and Jesus' invitation to be salt and light in the world.
The Beatitudes flip the script — Jesus isn’t offering a checklist for earning blessing, but describing the quiet joy already present in those who walk humbly with God. Debi and Tim unpack how this radical list includes the poor in spirit, the grieving, the merciful, the peacemakers — not the powerful, but the surrendered. And Jesus doesn’t stop there. He calls his followers to be salt (healing, flavour, preservation) and light (shining love and truth into dark places). This is what it means to live a life that points others to the Father.
Their prayer is simple and beautiful: that we’d carry the joy of being known and blessed by God — and live lives that shine with His light. We don’t need to be perfect, just faithful. See you tomorrow for Day 26!

3. Vision for 2026 | Tim Matthews
32:30||Season 5, Ep. 3On the Podcast this week we listen back to last Sunday 18th January with Tim Matthews, as he continues to explore the vision for 2026. He reminded us not to miss opportunities to introduce someone to Jesus, and to be courageous and bold, not timid, in our faith. As 1 Peter 3:15 says, “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” Let’s take that to heart as we live out our faith in everyday life.

57. Unshakeable Living
33:44||Season 4, Ep. 57This week on LOVECHURCH - The Podcast, we are taking ourselves back to the UNSHAKEABLE series. Festus begins by recapping our journey so far through the book of Hebrews, and how all the previous sermons add to a life of unshakeable living. One that is firm, rooted, and not shaken by storms. He further elaborates by suggesting the main anchor for this kind of life is love, something that could be seen as foolish but is ultimately sacrificial.
