The 2024 season is gone, but not forgotten. As is tradition, we look back over Hook's campaign, with expert analysis and discussion sadly lacking. The awful timing of our last recording meant we narrowly avoided coverage of our three-from-three weekend, so here's a bonus episode reacting to 'the treble'. Plus – an important message addressing a recent Lost in the outfield controversy.

It's been a month since we last gathered to ponder all things Hook, so it's a bit of a longer episode for you to digest. We discuss the month's goings on including cricket week, President's Day, and league action. We also put together our own, ahem, fantasy teams for Hook's very own version of The Hundred, and look back on England's thumping series win over the West Indies.*This was recorded on Friday 2 August - before our weekend clean sweep. England crashed out of the T20 World Cup and did not have much fun in the process. Is a change needed at the top? H&S is struggling with the bat and we're not having much fun in the process. Is a change in approach required? Personalised walk-on music would make things entertaining at least, and would defintiely be a fun change. You know, in the process. It's podcast five people!

With no league fixtures this weekend, someone had the good sense to organise an intra-club game so everyone could hone their 'skills'. What transpired was exactly what you would expect when you pit brother against brother, father against son, friend against friend, and Simon against his mortal enemy - teammate immobility. We've been absent for a while and a lot has happened. Hook's league campaign is underway, there have been some fiesty Sunday fixtures and Simon has cleaned his flat.
