Latest figures from the Department of Housing found over 5 thousand children were living in emergency accommodation in December.

That's a 15 per cent rise on the previous 12 months.

Louise Bayliss, Head of Social Justice and Policy at St. Vincent De Paul, says families with teenagers find this time of year particularly hard and Louise is on the line with us now to talk to us some more about this.
