Raisa Carolan was abandoned by her family in a Belarus orphanage from where at the age of ten, she was adopted by the Carolan family in Meath, who offered her an opportunity in life which she has grasped with gusto! Raisa, who has faced many challenges having been affected by the radiation that spewed from the Chernobyl nuclear plant, has traced her birth family whom she hopes to meet when the war in Ukraine ends. Raisa's story is truly inspirational...
