We are blessed to live in a time and place where we have access to so much good teaching on the Word of God. But we must recognize that there is more to spiritual maturity than simply loading up on good teaching. We must not only hear the word. We must receive it and do it. The difference between hearing and receiving is subtle, but important; only then can we be doers.

Aligning life with God's expectations is crucial for being a true friend of God. Correct Christian behavior is necessary for effective witnessing. Pastor Mike encourages believers to present themselves as living sacrifices and transform their lives to reflect God's Kingdom. The importance of love, forgiveness, and truth in relationships is highlighted, along with the mutual dependence within the Christian community and the diverse use of spiritual gifts for service.

There is no doubt about the importance of knowing and understanding the word of God. But we don't need to wait until we have all the answers before we start sharing the good news! Share what you have; sow the seed God has given you, and continue to grow in understanding along the way. You might be surprised by what God can do with the little you think you have!

Tonight, Pastor Mike highlights the importance of understanding God's purpose for each individual and living a godly life. He emphasizes the need to abide in God to bear fruit and know His Word. Practical aspects of service in the community are discussed, along with using one's gifts for God's kingdom.

Can you remember the day you gave your life to Christ? Most of you can. Can you also remember the things that brought you to that point? Most of us, I think, did not respond to the Gospel the first time we heard it. The moment we surrendered our lives to Him was just the final link in a chain of events that brought us to that point. We plant seeds, water the plants, tend to the soil, and finally reap a harvest. The harvest of souls is like that. We must be willing to plant, water, and weed. But we must also be ready to PICK!

We refer to those who have yet to come to Christ -the unconverted- as 'lost'. But just as there are many different callings, giftings, and ministries among believers, lost people are lost in many different ways. We need to be as prepared as possible to address the issues that stand in the way of the lost soul responding to Christ's call.

There are wonderful stories about people all over the world encountering Christ through dreams, angelic visitations, and other extraordinary ways. The fact remains, however, that the VAST majority of people who come to Christ do so because they were introduced to Him by another believer. People can't respond to the Good News until they hear it, and it's our job to make sure they hear it!

Tonight, Pastor Mike highlights the importance of having a heart for God, using David as an example of seeking God's will despite imperfections. He emphasizes God's grace, mercy, and the role of repentance in spiritual growth. Prayer and communication with God are essential, along with serving the church and loving one another. He also encourages all believers to share personal testimonies to encourage one another.
