Tonight, Pastor Mike encourages believers to embrace the victory already won through Jesus Christ. They are called to share this victory in their lives and to recognize their identity as conquerors. Faith is essential for walking in this victory, and worry is seen as a barrier to trust in God. The power of God's word is highlighted as crucial for achieving victory, urging believers to meditate on it and celebrate the triumph secured by Jesus.

Sorry for the bad pun for a title, but following up on the account of king Asa's rule, we can identify some more kingdom principles and specific applications that will help us understand the word of God and live the abundant, victorious life Christ promises!

God loves us and desires that we enjoy the blessed life He has promised and provided, but the truth is, we have a tendency to let our guard down when life is good. The account of King Asa's reign in Judah is a powerful reminder to us of how important it is to remain on the alert and ready to fight the enemy of our souls even when life is good.

Description: God has given us so many great and precious promises throughout His Word, but our receiving of them is not automatic. Many times, there is something that is required of us. A journey through the beginning of the book of Joshua yields some principles that we can apply in our walk of faith as we look to possess His promises and live the gospel to those around us.

When we study the life of faith, we often focus on what we can receive by faith, often with regard to healing and provision. And indeed, these are among the precious promises God has made to His children. But when we look at the heroes of the Bible, those who appear in the "hall of faith" in Hebrews, for example, we see something else. They aren't afforded that status for what they received, but for what they DID. We find, as we continue to explore the life of faith, that faith is a necessary component of obedience.
