Sermon Text: Romans 13:1-7

Sermon Text: Romans 12:9-21

Sermon Text: Romans 12:3-8

In view of God’s mercy, there are two responses Paul urges us to make. The first response is to offer our bodies, in reality our whole selves, as a living sacrifice to God. The second response is to renew our minds, again, literally our whole selves. Renewing our minds is to follow Paul’s instructions from Philippians 4:8 to think about what is true, noble, pure, lovely, etc. and avoid what is deceitful, impure, selfish and vulgar. Paul promises that renewing our minds in this manner will produce, by the power of the Holy Spirit, a transformed life. We will more and more resemble in reality who God declares us to be in Christ.Sermon Text: Romans 12:1-2

The two great dangers to God’s purpose of unity in his church are spiritual pride and self righteousness. The antidote is submitting afresh to the gift of righteousness in Jesus Christ.Sermon Text: Romans 11

To make Christ’s righteousness real in our lives, to make the objective facts of salvation subjectively real in our lives, we must respond in two ways: confess that‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe that God raised him from the dead. Sermon Text: Romans 10

How we use God’s resources is a reflection of what is in our heart.Sermon Text: Matthew 25:14-30

God calls on his people to be generous and to give because everything belongs to him and he is a generous God who gives. In Christian discipleship Jesus calls us to be like him in giving and generosity. Giving freely, joyfully and generously for the glory of God.Sermon Text: 2 Corinthians 9:6-15
