#47 The Art of Showing Up by Hilary Rose
Showing up isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s about arriving as you are - especially on the days when you’d rather not.
In this solo episode, Hilary Rose explores what it really means to show up for yourself in a world that constantly pulls your attention elsewhere. This is not about hustle, discipline or 5am routines. It’s about something far simpler and far more powerful - presence.
Hilary introduces the idea that 1% of your day is just 14.4 minutes. Not an hour. Not a transformation plan. Just 14.4 minutes of intentional showing up. Through personal insight and practical reflection, she breaks down how small, consistent acts of self-leadership build self-trust, regulate the nervous system and shift the way we move through our lives.
This episode is a reminder that you don’t need to be confident, clear or perfectly motivated to begin. You just need to stop abandoning yourself.
Key topics we discuss:
- Why most people struggle to show up consistently
- The difference between hustle-driven effort and intentional presence
- 14.4 minutes – why 1% of your day can change everything
- Rest as regulation, not reward
- The nervous system and rebuilding self-trust
- The four pillars of showing up: Body, Nourish, Choose and Live
- Small daily actions that create long-term change
- Presence over productivity
