Live, Laugh, Luke... with Luke Hamnett

Coming Out, Straight Man Dates & Naked Nan

Season 1, Ep. 3
•

Welcome back to Live, Laugh, Luke! Last week was fun, wasn’t it?!

On this episode, to celebrate all things Pride month, Luke shares his coming out story publicly for the first time - and all of the highs and lows that came with that. Luke talks about how he *had* to come out as gay.

He chats to Jan about dealing with family expectations (after dancing out of the womb!), open homophobia and dating in the gay world (feat. straight men). So prepare yourself for a gorgeous and powerful chat between Luke and Jan (aka Anne Robinson), as well as all of the LOLs you expect from everyone’s favourite Mother Son duo.

As always, don’t forget to follow wherever you’re listening so you get the next episode straight away, and make sure you’re following the podcast on socials @livelaughlukepod for all the extra bits!

  • 94. Live, Laugh, Luke is Scared Sh*tless: Halloween Edition!

    27:32||Season 1, Ep. 94
    Hold onto your knickers girls and boys, because this week the podcast comes from a place of actual nightmares for Halloween. Luke, Jan and the team descend into the cells of a very haunted former prison, guided by a lovely witchy-type lady called Wendy, who despite her calm demeanour, has everyone absolutely terrified. There’s a ‘talking board’ (it was called an Ouija board when we were kids), a LOT of screaming, a number of cold breezes, and a pervy ghost called Larry. This episode is a jumpy one, so we recommend sitting down to watch it in a well lit place, so that we don’t scare you into soiling yourself in the car on the way to Tesco. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Jan went out for a meal with terrible service, but did she complain?! Luke went to see Anastacia, and wants to know; if you’ve booked a seat at a gig, is it unfair to stand up? A HORRIBLE game of Would You Rather ensues - buried alive or wake up during cremation? GRIM. And Jan has taken a photo of her boiled ham. You'll have to listen to figure out the rest :( (sorry in advance

    Jan went on holiday, slipped into the splits, dropped 2 x coffees and read a book. That’s it. That’s the podcast. Meanwhile Luke and his pal Dazz spent the night in a haunted prison, ordered vodka on a delivery app and played with a ouija board, and used the Colonel’s secret recipe of herbs and spices to protect them from ghosts. Oh, and Luke’s got some new teeth! And in niche Hamnett news Luke had nits loads (as a kid - we hope!), and accurately Jan describes what a douche is!
