The new personal investment accounts are expected to launch early next year, allowing people to invest in things like shares, bonds and investment funds, with a tax-free threshold and no minimum contribution or lock-in period. But the exact tax-free limit and tax rate won't be known until next year's Budget. Paul spoke to Thomas Fitz-Gough from First Choice Financial Services.

On Sunday 5th September 1926, in Dromcollogher, Co. Limerick, 48 men, women and children lost their lives when fire swept through the upstairs loft that served as a temporary cinema. Now, one hundred years later, there is a state commemoration, and the community of Dromcollogher is marking this tragedy with a programme of commemorative events.
