Every year, NOVAS invites people across Limerick to come together for their Christmas Sleepout, an event that shines a light on the realities of homelessness and raises vital funds for frontline services. This year, the need is greater than ever with homelessness figures unfortunately at record highs. Today, Joe was joined by Una Burns, Head of Advocacy and Communications at NOVAS to tell us more about the event and generally about the homeless situation.

The Government has approved a six-month pilot programme that will see 128 frontline Gardaí equipped with tasers for the first time. The trial will run in Dublin Central, Waterford, and Kilkenny, and only Gardaí already using body-worn cameras will participate.Today Joe was joined by Declan Higgins, President of the Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors to discuss.
