In this episode, Rachel and Stephanie welcome award-winning actor, producer and activist Alysia Reiner. Alysia is best known as SAG award winning "FIG" on 7 seasons of Orange Is the New Black. Did you know that Orange Is the New Black was the second series ever streamed on Netflix?! She also played the role of Agent Sadie Deever in Ms. Marvel and she just finished her 5th season as Sunny on Better Things as well as her second season as Kathryn in STARZ’s Shining Vale, and Kiki on The Deuce. Alysia describes herself as an aspiring Buddhist, so for her, tangible "things" mean less to her than the words she lives by each day. Yes, listeners, words can be accessories too! She also talks about her zero waste, ethically sourced womenswear label, Livari where she recycles fashion scraps (think Burberry bags!) to create new amazing pieces.
