When we feel like we've lost our way or feel unworthy of God's presence/glory, REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE!Peter tells us in chapter 2 that we are living stones to be used as cornerstones in Christ, we are holy priests to represent God to common people, and we're His chosen people. Jesus chose all of us when he died on the cross. And even when Peter denied him three times and fled the crucifixion, Jesus still sought him out and redeemed him afterward. To be holy is to be set apart by God for God. So when life hits you like a whirlwind and whirlwind and you're struggling to figure out what to do, remember that the word of God will always hold you up and never hold you down. Christianity was hard, is hard, and will be hard. But it's worth it. So When Life Gets Hard, just hold on. Hold on because you're a chosen child of God, hold onto living hope, and hold onto joy. Don't you ever forget that our God's protective shield is more powerful than any of the enemy's attacks; but it's still up to you to get behind His shield and trust that He's got you. The students have taken over Lifepointe Church in droves and our Student Pastor, Chandler Prazak, delivers a powerful message for the parents of students. As amazing as youth ministry can be, it can't operate on its own from the family ministry that starts in your home. It needs to operate alongside it rather than fully replacing it. If you want your kids to love God, YOU HAVE TO LOVE GOD! Show them that you read your Bible and pray to Him. Be a shining example for them and train them in the way of Jesus so that they're well equipped for the world that's out there. Don't just protect them, but prepare them. STUDENT TAKEOVER 2026

To close out our summer series, Pastor Ridge takes us through Matthew 7:1-5 and where Jesus asks us to first take the plank out of your own eye before taking the speck out of your brother's. We must remember that being judgmental doesn't mean using good judgment. Instead of exalting yourself before others, you have to humble yourself to become exalted. You ever notice how someone may act different when they know people are watching? Or maybe they flex and gloat when they're graciously giving or even fasting to others. In Matthew 6, Jesus warns us to not act like the Pharisees who did these things in public for others to see. Instead, he calls us to do it in secret because our Heavenly Father will see it and reward us with eternal life with HIM! This week for out Summer on the Mount series, we had guest Pastor Gray Gardner of the future Hill City Church in Rock Hill, SC speak on how we need to be not just Christians but disciples of Christ. Disciples are meant to be distinct and visible, and we need to be the salt and flavor in people's spiritual lives.
