Let Me Introduce You

Do you have SOUL, dear listeners? This week, Ashley introduces Alan Parker's 1991 hit, 'The Commitments,' a film she watched many times with her father. Did we all love rocking out with this band? Hint: One of us did NOT! We discuss important films we all watched with our parents, as well as directors that inspired us in our youths (and if they've stayed that way). Plus, a Glenn Powell story (?!) and Katie mixes up two directors' filmographies in hilarious fashion.

This week, we welcome in Adam Wingard's 2014 thriller The Guest! Listen to us swoon over the sexy (and dangerous) Dan Stevens, appreciate the mumblegore of it all, describe horror vs. thriller, and again, SWOON over Dan Stevens. Did we mention that we liked Dan Stevens in this? We also discuss other men we find sexy and Graham finds another way to insult Halloween III. Plus, some talk about the incredible 2025 horror film Weapons!

This week, Ashley introduces Katie to the 1999 cult class "Drop Dead Gorgeous!" We cover all things Minnesota thanks to Ashley's expertise, celebrate all of the hilariously funny women in the cast, and Graham screams at Ashley for (not really) remembering the TV show 'Cheers.' Plus, we may have a new title for our show?

As summer comes to a close, we head back to camp! This week, we discuss the 1995 Disney gem 'Heavyweights,' starring Ben Stiller and a whole mess of people who go on to do some great things. We also discuss our own summer camp experiences (did Graham say...'puppet camp?') and other camp-centered films we enjoy. So, grab a seat by the campfire, make some s'mores and enjoy!

Ooooffff...this is a contentious one! This week, Graham and Ashley subject Katie to the absolutely wild 1976 kid gangster musical Bugsy Malone! Kid gangster musical you say?! Katie must have LOVED it. (Spoiler: She did not love it!) We have quite a time discussing one of the strangest movies that has ever graced the silver screen, starring Scott Baio (boo) and Jodie Foster (yay). So, grab your spurge gun, put on your dancing shoes, and have Paul Williams dub all of your singing, because when you give a little love, it all comes back to you!

This week, we are looking for adventure on the BIG BLUE WET THING! Graham introduces Katie and Ashley to the charming, swashbuckling Muppet adventure where Kermit & the gang (and an amazing Tim Curry) take on the Robert Louis Stevenson's classic. We recorded this back in 2024, so if any pop culture references are out of date, that's why :)

This week, Katie re-introduces us to the 1999 shark thriller Deep Blue Sea. Sharks! Samuel L. Jackson untimely end! A wet Thomas Jane (yum)! We discuss fun kills, cheesy effects, and how Graham was afraid he'd be attacked by a shark in his backyard pool growing up (?). We wrap up with a discussion on our summer jobs: Katie as a CHEF(!), Graham hatred of lettuce wraps, and Ashley's adventures in Hollywood. Shark Week is upon us this month, so take a bite out of the one. ALSO, stay until the very end for a VERY, VERY, VERY special guest!
