In this episode, Katie is joined by Amelia Platton - a now Trainee Solicitor at a Magic Circle firm and founder of the ND Lawyer Project. Amelia's exceptional efforts in leveraging social media to promote her cause earned her the Legal Cheek Award for 'Best Use of Social Media' in 2022. The ND Lawyer Project has achieved phenomenal success, culminating in the creation of the Solicitors Regulation Authority's (SRA) first-ever neurodiversity resource.


Amelia's journey into the legal profession has been anything but conventional. During the episode, we delve into the unique challenges she encountered while studying and qualifying for a career in law. We then explore the multifaceted concept of neurodivergence, discussing its implications for individuals in the legal field and beyond. Our conversation covers the intricacies of "masking" and the importance of implementing reasonable adjustments to ensure that neurodivergent individuals can thrive in their chosen profession.
