She married multiple times and had a tumultuous relationship with her second husband, Douglas Gisendaner. Gisendaner was murdered by Gregory Owen, who was hired by Kelly. Kelly was convicted of the murder and sentenced to death. Despite pleas for clemency, she was executed in 2015. This should be fun.Born Betty Lou Dunavant on March 12th, 1937 in Roxborough, North Carolina, Betty Lou became deaf after a bout with measles. She would claim her father sexually abused her. Wow we're just jumping right into this one aren't we?Betty Lou Beets, a woman from Texas, had a tumultuous life filled with multiple marriages and criminal activities. She was convicted of murdering her fifth husband, Jimmy Beets, and her fourth husband, Doyle Barker. Betty Lou's criminal record also included public lewdness and shooting her first husband, Robert Branson. She went through multiple trials and appeals before being sentenced to death by lethal injection in 2000. This conversation explores the details of Betty Lou Beets' life and crimes.16. 16:53||Season 4, Ep. 16Kenneth Eugene Smith was hired by Reverend Charles Sennett Sr. to kill his wife, Elizabeth Doreen Sennett. Smith, along with John Forrest Parker, beat and stabbed Elizabeth to death in her Alabama home. The murder was staged as a home invasion. Smith was convicted and sentenced to death, but his conviction was vacated on appeal. He was retried and sentenced to life without parole, but the judge overruled and sentenced him to death again. Parker was also sentenced to death and executed in 2010. Williams, another accomplice, was sentenced to life and died in prison in 2020. Smith's execution was scheduled multiple times but was botched and ultimately called off. He was later scheduled to be executed by nitrogen hypoxia, a method that had never been used before in Alabama.
