When Sherman McCrary met Carl Taylor, they quickly formed a wicked partnership. The father and son-in-law started writing bad checks together to support their families. But then checks gave way to guns and these small time criminals developed a sweet tooth for donuts and death. With their wives and children by their sides, they travel all over the country robbing grocery stores and engaging in a series of horrific rapes and murders. Residents in a small working-class suburb of Indianapolis knew to stay away from the Reese home. Growing up, four of the Reese children terrorized the neighborhood, but their father Paul Reese was the real evil. He was a drug user and had served time in prison for attempted murder. When a 13-year-old girl named Dawn Stuard disappears and is found strangled to death not far from the Reese home, all eyes focus on this family of criminals.
