Jack Howard and Mark Kermode talk about The Social Network – written by Aaron Sorkin and directed by David Fincher – and the upcoming sequel, The Social Reckoning, scheduled for release on 9 October 2026.Written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, it will be a companion piece to the original film and will focus on the fallout from The Facebook Files, the 2021 investigation into Facebook's practices. The new movie will feature a different cast, with Jeremy Strong playing Mark Zuckerberg, Mikey Madison as former engineer. Frances Haugen and Jeremy Allen White as Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwit.
