Journey through the Mind

This podcast series will feature discussions with Mount Sinai’s outstanding neuroscientists about pivotal experiments undertaken during their careers. We will hear first-hand about the twists and turns of the research process and together, we will journey into their minds to uncover what drives them to pursue scientific discovery. Denise Croote

Denise received her BS in Biology from Brown University and is currently a PhD candidate at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Her research is focused on examining how the brain represents time and the role that time representation plays in decision making. Outside of the lab, she is passionate about introducing neuroscience curriculum into NYC schools, and is an avid volleyball and soccer player.

Joseph Simon, IV

Joe is a California native, receiving his BS in neuroscience from UCLA. He is currently a PhD candidate at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. His research focuses on neural mechanisms governing social cognition and its role in decision making. Joe is an avid photographer and writer outside of the lab environment.
