🌈 Today on @jins_podast, the first podcast on love, sexualities and gender for Arabs and/or Muslims, I feel thrilled to present you my dear friend Haaz Sleiman. Based in L.A., Haaz Sleiman is the first openly gay Arab Muslim actor in Hollywood! He is a Lebanese-American actor celebrated for his groundbreaking contributions to the representation of gay Arabs in the film industry. He gained critical acclaim for his portrayal of Tarek in the 2007 drama "The Visitor" and his career took a historic turn with his role in Marvel's "Eternals" (2021), where he played Phastos' husband, marking the first openly gay couple and parents in the Marvel Universe. Additionally, Haaz starred in "Breaking Fast" (2020), a romantic comedy that explores the life of a gay Muslim man during Ramadan who falls in love with a white man.
