The Explorers Group Meeting

Broadcast Date: May 7th 2019

During this broadcast we discuss upcoming locations Kathy and I are considering a quick exploratory visit to as we travel back to Phoenix from mid-May to mid-June. The idea is to consider which of these YOU would be most interested to visit when we return from Washington State.  Once we have that information we can determine a schedule and announce the trip dates when we can return and invite you to join us.

The only offering we have at this time (for you to accompany us) is the filming by The Travel Channel around June 10th. This is mentioned in greater detail below...So, with that in mind, take a look at the locations listed below. We are asking YOU to look these places over and give us your feedback...

What do YOU think would be the best places to go for scheduled trips that YOU would want to join us on. Take a look and let us know!

The Travel Channel Shoot
We are fairly confident the TV crew from The Travel Channel's Relic Hunters will be filming Kathy and I the week of June 10th in a very remote location at the north rim of the Grand Canyon. We don't have firm details on timing yet. However, if you are interested to join us we would really enjoy having you along for the day long shoot!

This will be at the camp Kathy and I used for 4 years while we investigated a 1909 report in The Arizona Gazette about G.C. Kincade and his remarkable discovery of a lost city there. There is a lot (!) to this story. We can tell you the details once we are there. The filming will end just ahead of sundown. It will likely be a long day.

The locations below are not in any order. In fact, several of these locations are quite far apart encompassing a vast area between central New Mexico and central Arizona. Pull out your map! The adventure is just about to begin : )

• Ark of the Covenant glyph in The Painted Desert (AZ)

The petroglyph from Puerco River in Arizona looks strangely like the Ark of the Covenant. Note the symbols on top which resemble the Cherubim on the Mercy Seat at the top of the Ark.

Of course, there are several other locations throughout this area. Let us know if you think (or know) of a special place we should be looking at!

It's important to mention these areas do not include the meeting and trip to visit the Navajo Rangers (eastern Arizona) or our investigation of The Joplin Spook Lights (Missouri) and Board Camp Mine (Arkansas). These are done deals and we're waiting on weather conditions to become favorable before we plan the timing on those trips. We expect these to occur sometime in September thru October. We look forward to hearing from you!

Best Wishes
Kathy & Jerry

  • Paranormal Stories: UFOs and Contact - July 27th 2021

    01:57:50|
UFOs and Contact: The Travis Walton Story. What actually happened? Most of you already know I had contact experiences between 13 and 18 years of age. Afterward, and for the next five years, my contact only occurred once a month. It was during that time I was again summoned to the woods for a conversation. “They” had information they felt was important to share with me. Something had happened.Near the town of Snowflake, Arizona in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, on the afternoon of November 5, 1975, Travis Walton experienced contact that shook the common narrative. Travis had been taken, and returned several days later! Few believed his story, yet no one could find any flaw with the intrinsic details. There were several witnesses.Tonight, for the first time publically, I add details to that event I have kept to myself… Until now. Why? I’ll tell you all about this during the broadcast.
  • Music: Audio Mixdown

    05:00|
Hi Folks ... Mixing and Mastering music is complicated. I'll explain, but first, the audio file above is the result of roughly a week (and many, many hours) of listening, adjusting, and listening again. When I begin such a project, each track is raw as it was recorded by the artist, and each track is only mono. Stereo comes later...  The components in this mix are...• 1 short intro track of African drumThis is only a loop sample (something that comes standard with my audio editing system). I liked the way it sounded and chose to use it. This track is only mono in front of, and near, the listener.• 12 stems of Cello (stems are basically individual tracks)All 12 stems were recorded with different parts being played. The same microphone was used for each stem. In each instance, the microphone was moved to capture specific qualities (low, mid, high notes) for that stem. Afterward, the next passage recorded using this technique. This artist played the song completely 12 times.• 10 stems of guitar mixed down to 4 stemsEach stem pair was recorded with two different microphones and 2 different guitar tunings. The tuning changes were done to recreate a 12 string guitar sound. 2 stems were recorded using 2 identical microphones in front of and behind the artist in a large room. Mixing each guitar accurately creates the warmth and ambiance you would hear had you been sitting in front of the performer in a large, empty room. This artist played the entire song 5 times.Sounds complicated right out of the box, doesn't it! Let me tell you, it is!After several years away from producing music, the technology landscape has changed incredibly. For me, it's not that much different from starting from scratch. On a positive note, the workflow and speed of computers has dramatically improved. What once took an hour now takes only a few minutes. I hope I'm not being too nerdy with all my explanations.  If I've lost you, just go enjoy the music and forget reading the rest, haha... However, if this sort of thing fascinates you, here's the workflow!I'll keep it simple...• Each track needs to be listened to dozens of times as audio plugins are applied to each track (stem). As you listen, make changes to the settings of the plugin, and listen again you decide if you like it. If not, you apply a different plugin and start over.• Once you have the sound "sounding" mostly OK, decisions are made to assign each track to a "location" in the listening area (left, right, center, near, far, etc...).This is not easy. Past a point (maybe an hour, maybe two) your ears can no longer detect the subtle differences in the music and the alterations you have made using the audio plugin's. You stop, walk away, and come back to it another time. This is why it takes a while.Where I am at this point...Well, by listening to the track above you can easily tell it is now stereo (no longer mono). I have also balanced each track and placed it in the sound field; left, right, front, and distances from the listener who is sitting in the imaginary center of a large acoustically tuned room.Am I satisfied with the sound at this point? I think so...Like anyone, I keep listening and finding things I could do differently. Are the guitar strings too loud, or not loud enough? The same thoughts occur about the Cello. How do I blend these so they sound right? What sounds right?! It's subjective : /Each morning, and each night, I listen again. This morning, I think it sounds good to me... To me. Kathy listens and tells me each time what she thinks, too. I take her advice into consideration. Everyone hears in their own unique way. Also, I have heard this so many times I'm no longer objective. That's where YOU come in!The track is roughly 5 minutes longListen to it a few times. What do YOU think? Are the Cello's too loud, or not as loud as they should be? The same for the guitars. What do YOU think about the way I arranged the sound field? It IS balanced, but should there be any changes made? While I wait for your input, I am planning to record the vocals. Yes, I will be singing, hahaha... To give you some idea of the style I hope to emulate. Listen to the track linked below. I know I won't sound "like" this guy, really. But, I like his style and it is this song I had in my head when I originally sang this song on the original version I recorded 35 years ago. I sent you that recording last week and will attach it again to this post. Also, I have the words to the song attached below...Ok, that's all for now. If you made it all the way to the end, you are a trooper, haha! I know some of this is well beyond what you know. That mentioned, listening to music is easy. Let me know your thoughts ; )BTW, once I have this completely finished, it will be our gift to you : )Thanks, Folks...JerryGod Shuffled His Feet - Crash Test DummiesMmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm - Crash Test Dummies
  • Music...

    05:04|
Hi Folks ... The last few weeks I have had a side job. I've decided - because of Kathy - I should rerecord The Star Trek Song, redo the vocals, and publish it.To accomplish this I knew I would need help. After a few days of reading through profiles and listening to samples of their music, I found two very talented musicians on Fivver.com to help with this. The guitar player is from Slovenia. The Cellist is from Alabama (USA). Both are masters at their instruments.I have more work to do with this. It's a slow process to address each of the 20 tracks and do magic that creates something well beyond what they recorded for me. Like video editing, mixing and mastering music is not only a skill, it is an art form... and, it's been several years since I tackled a project like this. With this post, you'll find the guitar track above. The Cello part is attached and likely needs to be downloaded to play it. These are 96k .WAV files. What this means is they are the highest quality possible without standing in the studio listening to these instruments live. Most computers easily play .WAV files. However, if you have any issues, simply download the .mp3 files.Once you listen to each mixdown, imagine how this all sounds together. We've already heard it... It sounds fantastic to Kathy and me. I still need to record the vocals, which I think will happen this weekend. Once I have that part finished, and mastering is completed,  Kathy & I will send you the finished song.Meanwhile, let me know what you think of each track. I'm truly interested to hear your opinions/thoughts on this.Ok, that's all for now. I'll wait to hear from you amazing and wonderful friends!Best WishesJerryPs... Please don't share this music with anyone or place it online. If that happens I could be kept from actually releasing it.
  • (Audio) Amazon Rain

    40:43|
Hi Folks...  Here's another archived audio file from several years ago when we lived in the Amazon. The night this was recorded, Kathy and I were living at the Amazon Rainforest Lodge. This place is our home away from home deep in the jungle and up the Amazon River from Iquitos, Peru. That night, the storm was wandering away from us. The Ayahuasca Ceremony now concluded, Kathy & I were sitting on the front porch of our bungalow listening to the rain, tree frogs, and wind in the trees.Far off in the distance, lightning flashed across the canopy, thunder rolled, and a cool jungle breeze created a very primitive, ancient ambience. Our four-channel audio recording system was still set up. I reached over, turned it on, and this recording is the result. We still listen to this in the dark with our eyes closed, reliving that magic you only find in the Amazon.Like Sacred Ceremonies, we've sold this recording for many years.  We recently made this available to the public for $5 as a digital download. However, for you folks... It's free!Kathy & I want you to have this as our gift. Why? Because you guys are that special ; ) We hope you enjoy it...With Love and Appreciation...  Jerry & Kathy
  • (Audio) Sacred Ceremonies

    01:10:09|
Hi Folks... Here is an archived audio file from several years ago when we lived in the Amazon. The night this was recorded, Kathy and I were living at the Amazon Rainforest Lodge. This place is our home away from home deep in the jungle and up the Amazon from Iquitos, Peru. That night, there were three Shamen at the lodge at our request. It was a special treat for our passengers who had joined up there for the week. During the Ayahuasca Ceremony, a terrific thunderstorm rolled through as the ceremony was being held. Shamen took turns singing Icaro's and moderating the ceremony into the night.Lightning flashed, thunder rolled, and the sounds of the jungle created an intense and magical setting. I quickly set up a four-channel audio recording system with some of the best microphones available at that time. We captured the event and our recording of Amazon Rain afterward. We've been selling these on CD for years. Now, they are available to the public for $5 as a digital download. However, for you folks... It's free ; ) Kathy & I want you to have this as our gift to you. We hope you enjoy it...With Love and Appreciation... Jerry & Kathy
