21. Vision Sunday (Looking like Jesus)
45:31||Season 4, Ep. 21We as a church hope to have an insatiable desire to look more like Jesus. As many can casually approach the Lord, we want to be a group that seeks him with all of us. Jesus is looking for a people on fire for Him. But how can we develop an insatiable desire to look like him?As hunger is developed physically by developing habits of eating, we want to encourage the same for our spiritual life. The desperation for God will not begin till we begin to seek him, but the promise that we have is that when we seek, we will find. And when we hunger, we will be filled. We consider different areas of our life that we must develop a hunger and how we can begin to do that day to day. As always, we appreciate you listening and joining in online. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at theservingchurchdallas@gmail.com. Thanks again and we pray you look more like Jesus each day.

20. Vision Sunday (Having Heavenly Homes)
44:36||Season 4, Ep. 20As God continues to guide us towards the vision of the church, we emphasize the importance of having heaven in our homes. Many times, we value and put great importance into the mission fields, as we should. We pray, we prepare and we plan in preparation. We want to also encourage believers to see their homes as mission fields where they can bring the gospel and the fullness of Jesus. The same work required for the mission field will be required for your home! So get ready to be used by God where you are!As we study the story of Noah and how he saved his family, we learn what is required for us to begin to see our homes as mission fields. As always thanks for listening and we hope you have a great week. Feel free to reach out to us at theservingchurchdallas@gmail.com.
19. Vision Sunday (Experiencing God)
38:53||Season 4, Ep. 19We as a people should have a desire to experience God fully. Churches have lost an eagerness for the Lord and we hope as a church that there are tangible experiences with God as we see in the scriptures, but for that to occur, what is required of us? We contrast the story of The Tower of Babel with the Day of Pentecost to see what was required for a group to experience God in his fullness. Our hope in learning from the text is that we can experience greater depths of the Lord. As always, thanks for tuning in. Our prayer is that you grow in your eagerness for the Lord. If you have any prayer requests or questions, email us at theservingchurchdallas@gmail.com. Thanks and have a great week.
18. What does it mean to be a Bondservant
59:20||Season 4, Ep. 18Burli Johnson shares about the heart of the Father for us that we would be bondservants of the Lord. What does that even mean? We look through different passages and consider how true salvation goes from simple proclamations of faith, to true life change that requires an identity shift. No longer are we identified by ourselves, but we are identified by our master. This convicting word will help give guidance for the day and we hope that you tune in. As always, if you have any questions or prayer requests, please let us know at theservingchurchdallas@gmail.com. Thanks and have a great week.
17. Developing Self-Worth (Holiness)
40:06||Season 4, Ep. 17Daniel made a bold decision to not eat the food offered to the idols. This could have led to his death, but he chose to take a stand. We as believers have lost this separation with the world. Everything is so permissive today that there is no difference between a believer and a Christian. Daniel showed us the value of holiness and how it led to his self-worth and boldness. We consider today in what ways should we express our separation from the world. Our hope is to equip believers to live out the truth of Jesus wherever they go, so they can be a light for him. As always, thanks for listening. If you have any prayer requests or questions, please email us at theservingchurchdallas@gmail.com.Thanks and have a great week.
16. Developing Self-Worth (Overcoming our Need for Power and Success)
37:43||Season 4, Ep. 16Developing our self worth is a journey with the Lord. The enemy offers different temptations to draw us away and lose our self-worth. Finding our identity in external success and power is one of the chief ways. We considered how the Babylonians offered success and power to the boys (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego) to slowly make them change their priorities and values. It is the same thing the enemy does today for many of us. We have slowly drifted away from the Lord due to our need to prove ourselves to the world. In this sermon, we consider the idea of clothing ourselves in Christ so that our chief identity is him. In doing that, our need for success and power dwindles and we are satisfied in him. As always, thanks for tuning in. If you have any prayer requests or questions, email us at theservingchurchdalals@gmail.com. Thanks and have a great week.
15. Developing Self Worth (Overcoming the Deception of the World)
43:52||Season 4, Ep. 15Finding self-worth begins in the secret place. Babylon did everything to pervert Daniel and his friends. One of the chief ways was by educating them in the ways of the Babylonian literature. Slowly, they hoped to change their mindsets. Daniel was able to overcome. The enemy continues that same tactic and tries to pervert our education and thinking. False ideas and poor teaching has crept into the church and we must be rooted as Daniel was. This week, we study how Daniel was able to stand against the education of the world and how we can do the same. As always, thanks for tuning in. If you have any questions or prayer requests, please email us at theservingchurchdallas@gmail.com. Thanks and have a great week.
