    Tarot for beginners: what do The Devil, The Tower, The Star, The Moon, The Sun, Judgement and The World really mean? This Fool's Journey finale I explore the final Major Arcana cards and how they guide shadow work, healing and spiritual awakening.We've already travelled through the ego cards (The Fool to The Chariot) and the introspection cards (The Hermit to Death). Today I take us into the deepest part of the tarot journey, the subconscious:- The Devil card meaning: the chains of limiting beliefs like "life has to be hard" or "I'm only loved if I'm productive", and how neuroplasticity helps us slip them off- The Tower card meaning: sudden upheaval and life change, and why rebuilding on old foundations keeps us stuck- The Star: hope, healing and trusting your inner light- The Moon: the subconscious, shadow work and hidden beliefs- The Sun: joy and a fuller range of emotion- Judgement: awakening to your true calling- The World: wholeness, and the cycle beginning againI link tarot to yoga philosophy and samskaras, and to Freud's id, ego and superego. I also share why self-reflection alone kept me going round in circles, and how therapy helped me break out of it.Plus, I share easy tarot spreads for beginners:- Three-card tarot spreads (past, present, future, or emotions, actions, beliefs)- The Celtic Cross spread- Whether you need to read reversed tarot cards- Tarot journaling prompts for self-discovery- My go-to full moon and new moon tarot readingsI also chat about the autumn equinox, Libra season and the full moon in Aries.Coming up: a bonus episode next week with a returning friend of the podcast, then a brand new series. I'm thinking emotions or friendships, but I want to hear from you. What would you like to learn about in yoga, wellbeing and spirituality? Let me know.Want more moon magic? We finish up the royals today with the Kings. Ruling over each of their suits with balance and the power of each, and how when reversed it gets out of hand and evil rulers ensue. I then move back to the higher acarna cards to discuss the story of the Id the Ego and the super ego within them. I start with the Ego, the identities we have placed upon us to exist in the society in which we live. Let's talk about the 10's to finish up the lower cards, I discuss how each suit ends and how each is an opportunity. Two of them have happy ending vibes, the other two less so. I then discuss the message from the first of the Royals: The Pages, messengers in your Tarot deck. I love the royals and have my own little tradition when I pull them. 34:00||Season 4, Ep. 25
    Today is all about the 8s and 9s. The 8's signify the movement through the journey, actually doing the work of the suit and making progress through change. Finally making different choices and doing them. A time of proving to yourself that you can. The 9s are getting the last of the wisdom from the suit (on this round) before moving onto the completion with the 10s. What is the last thing you can learn right now before you rest. Before this change has really taken hold. I also discuss an upcoming talk I'm doing at Hotpod Yoga Norwich on Saturday 12th September 2025. The talk is all about the inner critic and how to understand your inner monologue. Find out more here.

    As we dive into the latest insights, let’s reflect on how our journeys through conflict shape our creativity and self-awareness. This week, I share a personal update about taking a step back from the usual hustle. Working three-day weeks has dramatically shifted my energy levels, allowing me to reconnect with me. It’s a process of trial and error, learning to listen to my bodies, and recognising when I need to reset.I then continue on the tarot adventure. We're moving through the 6's and the 7's this week, considering what we need after successfully overcoming a conflict and then what might happen next. Ego, celebration, trusting your gut, surrender and more. References: Norwich Yoga Festival

    31:55||Season 4, Ep. 22
    In this episode, I continue the Tarot Journey by exploring the lower arcana, focusing on the twos and threes across the four suits: pentacles, wands, cups, and swords. I explain how these cards relate to everyday life, from balance and choice to growth, collaboration, heartbreak, and healing. I begin with a quick recap of the lower arcana as a set of practical, guiding cards used for reflection and journaling. I shares how a recent tarot pull gave me clear, useful reminders about what was showing up in my life, especially through reversed cards that felt surprisingly accurate.I then breaks down the four tarot suits:Pentacles: material life, money, possessions, and the physical realmWands: creativity, passion, movement, and forward energyCups: emotions, relationships, and emotional connectionSwords: thoughts, decisions, truth, and mental energyThe episode goes card by card through the twos:Two of Pentacles: balance, juggling priorities, and managing the physical/material side of lifeTwo of Wands: choice, planning ahead, expansion, and stepping into possibilityTwo of Cups: connection, romance, partnership, and emotional unityTwo of Swords: indecision, stalemate, avoidance, and the challenge of facing difficult truthsI then moves into the threes:Three of Cups: friendship, community, celebration, joy, and supportThree of Wands: growth, momentum, expansion, and looking toward what comes nextThree of Pentacles: collaboration, teamwork, creativity in action, and working with othersThree of Swords: heartbreak, grief, betrayal, painful truth, and the thoughts that can keep us in painThroughout the episode, I emphasises that tarot is not just predictive, it’s a tool for self-reflection, journaling, and emotional processing. I close by inviting you to reflect on how the lower arcana feel to you and share your thoughts.
