God Has Spoken

Luke 15:1-10 | A Sinner’s Worth

Ep. 124

In this episode we are looking at 2 parables Jesus tells in Luke 15. These teachings were prompted by the Pharisee’s shock that Jesus would receive sinners. Through the story, Jesus challenges us to realize how much love and concern someone must have if they want to save a soul. But even deeper, we learn how God values a soul straying into darkness. What is my attitude toward those that are not saved? And how do I develop a heart of compassion that matches the Lords?

Will I succumb to pity parties and self-loathing in these dark moments? Or will I learn to trust God more and lean on him for strength?

Only once that has happened can Christ work in me to grow into the new creature that is renewed according to the image of my creator. Am I willing to allow this transformation to take place?
