Truth or Deception?

Truth or Deception? How to Discern What Is Really From God
Deception rarely looks like deception. The enemy often works through what appears convincing, familiar and even right. That is why the Bible repeatedly warns us to be alert, discerning and firmly grounded in the truth of God’s Word.
In this episode of Insights with Jonathan Edwards, we explore the subtle nature of deception and how we can recognise the counterfeit before it leads us in the wrong direction. Just as a sat-nav can confidently give the wrong direction, we can be sincerely following something that appears right while moving further away from God’s purposes.
We will look at how deception operates, why discernment matters, how to test what we hear, and how knowing the truth protects us from being led astray.
“Do not be deceived…” — Galatians 6:7
My prayer is that this teaching will help you become more discerning, more firmly rooted in Scripture, and more sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Changed in the Struggle
22:39|Changed in the Struggle - Wrestling with GodIn this powerful episode, we journey into Genesis 32 and step into the life of Jacob — a man marked by calling, but also shaped by struggle, failure, and transformation. From Mahanaim to the brook of Jabbok, Jacob finds himself alone — and it is there that heaven meets him in an unforgettable encounter. What begins as fear of Esau becomes a divine confrontation that changes everything: identity, character, and destiny. This episode explores the tension between calling and character, and how God is not only interested in what He has placed on your life, but in what He is forming within it. Like Jacob, we discover that blessing is often found in the place of surrender, and transformation begins when we stop running and start wrestling with God.At Peniel — “the face of God” — Jacob is renamed, redefined, and marked forever. What follows is not just a change of name, but a change of nature. This is a message about an encounter. About emptiness that leads to fullness. About weakness that becomes strength. And about a God who still meets people in their struggle and brings them into purpose. If you are longing for a fresh encounter with God, this episode will stir faith, awaken hunger, and call you into deeper transformation.🔥Our new website is live; find it here. 🔥https://www.jonathanedwardsministries.comhttps://jonathan-edwards-ministries.sumupstore.com🔥Find us on Facebook 🔥TheKairosOrganisation🔥Why not check out our Podcast channel called “Insights with Jonathan Edwards’ available on all podcast platforms or use this link. 🔥https://shows.acast.com/insights-with-jonathan-edwards#Jacob #Israel #Genesis32 #BiblePodcast #ChristianPodcast #WrestlingWithGod #PenielMoment #EncounterWithGod #HolySpirit #SpiritualTransformation #FaithJourney #BiblicalTeaching #SermonPodcast #RevivalFire #ChristianEncouragement #GodsPresence #InnerHealing #IdentityInChrist #GraceAndTruth #KingdomOfGod
Self-Control
13:21|Self-Control: The Strength to Rule the Inner LifeIn this final episode of Insights with Jonathan Edwards, we conclude the journey through the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5 with one of the most powerful and practical traits of the Christian life: self-control.Far from being willpower or personality strength, self-control is revealed as Spirit-empowered strength under the governance of God. It is the ability to rule the inner life — thoughts, emotions, reactions, desires, and decisions — through the power of the Holy Spirit.Drawing from Scripture such as Proverbs 25:28 and Galatians 5:22–23, this episode explores how self-control acts as a spiritual boundary that protects our lives, stabilises our character, and enables us to walk in freedom rather than impulse. You will discover:What biblical self-control really meansWhy it is not suppression but Spirit-led strengthHow it functions as a “spiritual wall” in your lifeHow Christ empowers us to overcome temptationWhy “against such things there is no law” brings freedom, not condemnationPractical ways to walk in self-control dailyThis message will encourage you that you are not ruled by impulse — you are being shaped by the Holy Spirit into a life of strength, stability, and spiritual maturity. The Spirit is producing something in you that no law can condemn and no weakness can define.Choose self-control — and walk in Spirit-led freedom.🔥Our new website is live; find it here. 🔥https://shows.acast.com/insights-with-jonathan-edwards#SelfControl #FruitOfTheSpirit #HolySpirit #ChristianPodcast #InsightsWithJonathanEdwards #BibleTeaching #ChristianLiving #SpiritualGrowth #Galatians5 #JesusChrist #FaithPodcast #BiblicalTeaching #ChristianEncouragement #WalkInTheSpirit #KingdomLife #Discipleship
