Love TaShia Asanti of the Ennaid Foundation will present Under the Ceiba Tree: Black Self Love Chronicles.

 

This Award-Winning Poet, Activist and Author of 7 Books. Founder of the Healing Racism Academy and I Teach Love Institute will present: Under the Ceiba Tree: Black Self-Love Chronicles, is a performance ritual about the journey of Onyx, a young woman from the mythical city of BlingBlamBoom who wakes up in a small town called Fizzleflop after her bus breaks down. No one looks or talks like her in Fizzleflop and she has no money, clothes or food. She meets a man named Kosenrufu who teaches her about her divinity and how a book of wisdom called the Angelverses can help her survive the unsurvivable and change the worlds around her. A story of self-acceptance, healing and empowerment, Under the Ceiba Tree affirms Black identity and teaches us the power in loving and accepting ourselves.
