Pray for Our Hearts | Luke Crosby

Season 2026, Ep. 2

As we step into a new year, we’re all thinking about fresh starts, new goals, and big plans for personal growth. But what if the most important change we could make isn’t a new habit or resolution, but a new priority?

In this message, we introduce our 2026 church focus: PRAY FIRST — an invitation to make prayer our first response, not our last resort. Rooted in 1 Timothy 2:1, we’re reminded that prayer isn’t about perfect words or religious performance. It’s about connection with God and placing Him first in every part of our lives.

In this message, we’ll explore what it looks like to:

Make Prayer a Priority

Keep Prayer Personal

Find a Place and Use a Plan

Remember the Purpose of Prayer

As a church, we’re committing to grow our personal prayer lives and elevate prayer in our gatherings, our homes, and our city. This message sets the foundation for a year of spiritual renewal — starting in our hearts and flowing outward into everything God has called us to.

    Following Jesus isn’t always easy. In fact, sometimes His words are hard to hear.In Week 3 of our series, Questions Jesus Asked, Pastor Kevin McPeak unpacks a powerful and personal question from Jesus in :“You do not want to leave too, do you?” (John 6:67)After a crowd of followers walked away from Jesus because His teaching felt too difficult, too offensive, or too demanding, Jesus turned to His closest disciples and asked them to decide: Are you staying… or leaving too?In this message, we explore:Why People Walk Away from JesusFour “Hard Truths” That Still Push People Away Today.The Danger of Shallow FaithThe Invitation to StayThis message is a call to examine your faith—not just whether you believe in Jesus, but whether you’re truly following Him.Because at some point, we all have to answer the question:Will I keep walking with Jesus… even when it’s hard?––––– If this message encouraged you, share it with someone navigating faith or wrestling with doubt. –––––Find us on Facebook and on Instagram.To get connected with our church in person, click here - https://imperialbeach.church/

    Everyone has opinions about Jesus. 30:41||Season 2026, Ep. 11
    What are you really looking for in life?In Week 1 of our new series Questions Jesus Asked, Pastor Christian Castro explores one of the very first questions Jesus asked His followers: “What are you seeking?” (John 1:38). Throughout the Gospels, Jesus asked powerful questions—not because He didn’t know the answers, but because His questions reveal what’s happening in our hearts.In this message, we discover how the questions Jesus asked help us reflect on our desires, identity, decisions, obedience, surrender, and hope. These questions invite us to move beyond surface-level faith and examine what we truly want and where we’re searching for it.In this message, we explore:The Different Types of Questions Jesus AskedThe Question That Starts It All: “What Are You Seeking?”How to Recognize What You’re Really PursuingWhy What You’re Searching For Is Actually Searching For YouThe Invitation of Jesus: “Come and See”Like the treasure hidden in a field or a pearl of great value, the kingdom of God is worth everything. • 10. Uncomplicate Hearing God's Voice | Kevin McPeak

    35:14||Season 2026, Ep. 10
    Have you ever felt like God was silent? Like your prayers were one-sided, or you couldn’t figure out His direction for your life?In Week 5 of Uncomplicate It, Pastor Kevin McPeak tackles one of the most discouraging spiritual roadblocks: the silence of God. Many people assume something is wrong with their faith when they can’t clearly “hear” God, but Jesus actually taught that His followers can know His voice and walk with Him.This message helps us move from frustration and confusion to confidence in how God leads us.In this message, we unpack:What God’s Voice Is NOTWhat God’s Voice ISWhy God’s Will Is More Like a Game Plan Than a BlueprintPractical Ways to Discern God’s DirectionFollow what God has already made clear in Scripture.Listen to the Holy Spirit’s guidance.Ask: Does this sound like Jesus?Seek wise counsel from trusted believers.The Shortcut Through SilenceInstead of constantly trying to hear God, arrange your life to regularly be with God—through His Word, prayer, and community. Clarity grows out of closeness. When we focus on being with God, we begin to recognize His voice, trust His leadership, and walk forward with peace.––––– If this message encouraged you, share it with someone navigating uncertainty or waiting on God’s direction. –––––Find us on Facebook and on Instagram.To get connected to our church in person, click here - https://imperialbeach.church/
  • 9. Uncomplicate Your Time with God | Kevin McPeak

    35:10||Season 2026, Ep. 9
    Why does spending time with God feel so hard when we want it to feel natural?In Week 4 of Uncomplicate It, Kevin McPeak addresses one of the most common roadblocks to faith: distraction. Many of us sit down to pray only to find our minds racing, our phones buzzing, and our attention pulled in a dozen directions. But what if distraction isn’t the end of connection with God… what if it’s an invitation?In this message, we discover how Jesus’ words in John 15 call us to abide—to remain connected to Him in a relationship that is intimate, organic, and lived out in real life, not in a perfectly quiet moment.In this message, we unpack:Why Distraction Doesn’t Disqualify YouHow to Invite God Into Your Real Life, Not Escape It The Role of StructureThe Freedom of Searching and SurrenderingLetting Go of What Weighs Us DownYou don’t need the perfect plan, the perfect focus, or the perfect schedule to be close to God. You just need to stay connected to the Source.––––– If this message encouraged you, share it with someone who feels distracted or disconnected in their faith. –––––Find us on Facebook and on Instagram.To get connected to our church in person, click here - https://imperialbeach.church/
  • 8. Uncomplicate Shame | Christian Castro

    34:33||Season 2026, Ep. 8
    Shame has a way of making us feel like we need to hide from God. But what if the very places we want to conceal are the places Jesus wants to meet us most?In Week 3 of Uncomplicate It, Pastor Christian Castro walks through the powerful story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman in John 4 — a moment where Jesus steps directly into someone’s shame, not to condemn her, but to heal her and change her future. This message reminds us that the barriers we believe disqualify us from God are often the very places where His grace is most at work.In this message, we explore:• The Roadblocks Shame Creates • Jesus’ Invitation to Living Water• Why We Don’t Have to Hide• How Healing Happens in the Light Just as the Samaritan woman, when we allow Jesus to meet us in our shame, it not only changes us — it becomes a testimony that can change others as well. –– If this message encouraged you, share it with someone who needs to be reminded they don’t have to hide. ––Find us on Facebook and on Instagram.To get connected to our church in person, click here - https://imperialbeach.church/
  • 7. Uncomplicate Busyness | Hosanna Wong

    42:38||Season 2026, Ep. 7
    What if your busiest season isn’t a barrier to God — but actually your shortcut to Him?In Week 2 of Uncomplicate It, Hosanna Wong tackles one of the most common roadblocks to connecting with God: busyness. Many of us feel like we need a different season of life before we can truly experience God — less chaos, more margin, fewer responsibilities. But what if God wants to meet you right in the middle of your real life?Grounded in Jesus’ words in John 15 about the vine and the branches, this message invites us to stop separating our “God life” from our “real life.” Instead, we’re encouraged to learn how to remain connected to Jesus in the very season we’re in — even when that season feels full, exhausting, or overwhelming.In this message, you’ll explore:The Roadblock of Busyness (Why we feel like we don’t have “enough time” for God)Your Season Is Your Shortcut (God meets you where you actually are, not where you wish you were)Bringing God Into Your Real Life (Loving God by obeying Him and loving people in your everyday rhythms)Your Specifics Are Your Shortcut (God wired you uniquely — your personality, season, and details matter)Through Scripture, personal stories, and seven different ways people are wired to worship, this message shows that connecting with God doesn’t require a different life — just a different perspective in the one you’re already living.–––– If this message encouraged you, share it with someone who feels overwhelmed or spiritually stuck. ––––Find us on Facebook and on Instagram.To get connected to our church in person, click here - https://imperialbeach.church/
  • 6. Uncomplicate Your Faith | Luke Crosby

    36:14||Season 2026, Ep. 6
    Connecting with God can feel complicated. Many of us carry an unspoken picture of what a “perfect” Christ-follower looks like, and when our real lives don’t match that image, we’re left feeling behind, discouraged, or disconnected.In Week 1 of our new series, Uncomplicate It, Luke Crosby invites us to name the roadblocks that often stand between us and God, to discover how Jesus came to remove them. Through Scripture, stories, and real conversations with people around the world, we’re reminded that faith was never meant to be rigid, exhausting, or performative.In this message, we explore:The Most Common Roadblocks to GodThe Simple Invitation of Jesus What It Means to “Remain” in Christ Jesus didn’t come to add more pressure or perfectionism to our lives. He came to uncomplicate faith and invite us into an intimate, life-giving relationship with Him. 36:39||Season 2026, Ep. 5
    What if God wants to bring spiritual renewal to our city today? Prayer is not supplemental to God’s mission — it is foundational.In this message, we learn how to pray intentionally for our city by praying for:All People Those in Authority Godly Influence and Peace Salvation to Reach the City As followers of Jesus, we are called to pray first and then live as ambassadors of Christ right where we live, work, and play.
