I'm Grand Mam
Ep 157 - Her Drag Name is Dusty Flaps
The lads are absolutely wrecked and it's not just because of their hangover, it's because they kayaked across the length and breadth of the Atlantic for PJ's stag. But the vibes are high because PJ had the best time and the lads share all their antics from PJ's last hoorah before he becomes Mr Kirby Galang. They then do a second edition of chaotic stag and hen stories and their thoughts are with the fella who was kidnapped and thrown into the boot of car because he loves horror movies - sure God love him.

Ep 241 - Stop Tonguing Your Dog
48:12|âTis all go, girlies! The lads have been busy with touring, work commitments and buzzing social lives: so busy that Kevin has had to colour-code his Google cal. PJ was at his nephewâs confirmation this week, and was shocked to discover that kids arenât getting slapped by the bishops as part of the ceremony any more. Heâs even more shocked to learn that this was actually never common practice, and concludes that it must have been exclusive to the northside of Cork. This week, the topic is sequels, prequels and remakes. With the Devil Wearâs Prada 2 coming out soon, Kevin and PJ are wondering why every movie thatâs released these days seems to be a sequel or a remake of a beloved classic. They talk about the best sequels of all time (Shrek 2, anyone?), movies theyâd love to see remade, and pick their favourites from the High School Musical trilogy.Â
Ep 240 - One of the Boys
54:25|Kevinâs keen to learn to drive, but with the fuel protests across Ireland this week, heâs not sure how useful it would be. The lads stand with the farmers, obviously, even if it did take PJ 5 hours to get from Cork to Dublin for Jordanâs wedding. Speaking of Jordanâs wedding, we find out more about PJ's antics on the stag, and why the wives and girlfriends at the wedding were fuming with him.The theme for this week is luck; the âlucky girlâ aesthetic is all the rage right now, so the lads have been wondering how much of luck is mindset, and whether they believe in lucky traditions and superstitions.
Ep 239 - Let PJ Speak
55:37|The lads have absolutely had it with April Foolâs Day antics on social media, and think itâs about time we put a stop to it. In better news, this week Kevinâs family have been celebrating his brotherâs engagement, which leads them to talk about the general mortification of Irish people doing⌠well, anything. The theme for this week is teenage discos, and weâre throwing it back to a time laden with the scent of hairspray and Lynx Africa. It might be a rite of passage, but the teenage disco brought with it a whole lot of anxiety and pressure to fit in socially. The boys hear wild submissions from the listeners, covering everything from the best way to sneak vodka into to the disco, and the girlies kissing record numbers of boys in one night.
Ep 238 - Miss Me with the Matcha
51:05|Kevin is on a crusade against culinary trends this week, and matcha and hot honey on pizza are in the firing line. PJâs heartbroken that he failed his NCT (mainly because he chickened out of leaving a bribe in the glovebox), even though heâs loving booting around Cork in the car.The speed of the drive from the northside to the southside even inspires the lads to call for unification of the two sides of the river in The Rebel City. The theme for this week is inventions, and the boys are unpacking some of the most influential inventions of all time. Theyâre also talking about inventions that we thought would take off but didnât (3D glasses anyone?) and pitching some iconic ideas of their own.
Ep 237 - Dunnes Stores Dynasty
51:55|The lads are buzzing after their first tour date, despite PJ losing his voice on stage and having had a gang of firemen round his gaff responding to a faulty carbon monoxide alarm. Meanwhile Kevin is lamenting the fact that Carmit has been excluded from the Pussycat Dolls reunion tour, but decides that if Kimberley can get her leg above her head and do her famous tilt, all will be forgiven. For the theme this week, the boys are talking all about family feuds. From the Dunnes Stores saga to the worldâs most famous elevator ride, we know that no family is immune to drama. They talk through some of the most common reasons for family fights, hear listener stories and discuss how to mend a rift.
Ep 236 - Brilliant or Busted?
50:00|Kevin and PJ have been in their best goth drag this week, and they canât stop thinking about how hot they both looked in black eyeliner! Getting their makeup done makes them think back on their experiences with stage makeup as children, and they also start planning a charity drag night: watch this space, girlies! For the theme, inspired by their upcoming Happy Campers shows, the lads are discussing all things tours: tour life, venue choices and the highest grossing tours of all time. From Taylor Swift to Coldplay, they canât help but wonder what these artists are doing with all the millions and billions of bobs theyâre making from touring the world.Â
Ep 235 - Is It The World?
53:41|Kevinâs had enough of PJâs journey of enlightenment and self-improvement, which isnât helped by PJ telling us all about his day farming and learning to grow his own veg in Wicklow. In other news, Kevin has had his now infamous polyp removed, and luckily his anaesthetist was fairly easy on the eyes, girls. For the theme, the lads are discussing personality tests, specifically the Enneagram (which we now know has nothing to do with Scientology: phew!). Inspired by Amy Poehler and her Enneagram obsession, they take the quiz to uncover what personality type they are, and what traits they have in common.
Ep 234 - Soy Boy Heaven
46:10|The lads are buzzing after their second appearance on the Late Late Show, and not even the abysmal Facebook comments can bring them down! They laugh at some of the worst ones, while also acknowledging the loyal girlies who always have their backs. They then turn their attention to the mortal enemy of healthy gut microbiome everywhere: the airport sandwich. Inspired by Bad Bunnyâs recent Super Bowl performance, the theme for this week is celebrity activism. The boys discuss some of the celebrities who have advocated for causes throughout their careers, and wonder whether we expect too much from our pop culture figures. Oh, and they have to ask: what the heck is going on with Nicki Maga Minaj?!
Ep 233 - Burn The Bra
51:37|Strap in girlies: PJ is giving us the inside scoop on the WhatsApp group dedicated to farts that heâs been added to this week, and itâs harrowing stuff. The boys also discuss all the tea from the new Americaâs Next Top Model documentary, including Tyra attempting to gaslight us all in her now infamous trenchcoat. In honour of International Womenâs Day on March 8th, the lads are talking all about their favourite people: the girlies! The theme for this week is feminism, so Kevin has an excuse to talk about the ultimate feminist queen, Lisa Simpson, as well as the connection that gay men have to the women in their lives. They also discuss some of Irelandâs most impactful feminist icons and unpack common feminist stereotypes. WHO RUN THE WORLD? GIRLS!
