  • 268. The Cards Made Me Do It

    54:40||Ep. 268
    Kevin’s been to a Friday night yoga class, so naturally he is feeling superior to all of us. He’s decided that Hackney is the place to be for yoga, because the clientele are hotter, even if his Irish humour isn’t quite landing. Meanwhile, PJ is trying to rally the troops to get on board with Tinashe and her newest album: it’s time she got her flowers, girls!The theme for this week is witches… the lads are embracing spooky season by talking about the history of witches, the witches we grew up with in modern media, and finding out what kind of behaviour would have resulted in someone being burned at the stake. They’re also wondering if they’re up to delving into a bit of modern day witchy woo-woo, and the answer might surprise ye, girls!
  • Got Myself An Apple Car Play

    54:44|
    The lads are doing a public service this week and educating us about the origins of the phrase Locktober: spoiler alert girls, it originated with the gays! They’re also debating whether they’d have it in them to be nudists, or whether they’d be too Irish and mortified for it. The theme for the week is misdirected messages, and as usual, the listener submissions didn’t disappoint! The boys hear stories of messages sent to the wrong people, phone calls made to people they shouldn’t have been, and recount their own misdirected message disasters!
  • 266. If You Think We Zig, We’re Gonna Zag

    55:26||Ep. 266
    This week, Kevin is imagining the labelling and organising possibilities in his future home, and as a result we learn that PJ doesn’t fold his t-shirts. Thoughts, feelings, concerns, girlies? The theme for this week is Christian Girl Autumn, as PJ brings us on a journey through internet history to find out where this phenomenon was born. Despite the fact that neither of them enjoy a PSL and they can’t stand Taylor Swift, the boys are doing their best to get into the spirit of the cosy season.
  • Country Western in the Sky

    56:33|
    This week, Kevin and PJ fangirl over the giant that is Donncha O’Callaghan. When a man’s that big, there’s even more of him to love, girls! Meanwhile, PJ’s husband José makes a starring appearance with his new French horn. Euphemism not intended…The theme for this week is Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and the lads are asking the all-important question: did Buffy make us gay? From our lifelong attraction to a strong female lead and some iconic leather fashion moments to why every TV series needs to bring back the musical episode, the lads are revisiting the TV show that might just explain everything.
  • 264. It Takes A Real Man to Rim

    54:53||Ep. 264
    Kevin’s been on a wine run this week, which is exactly what it sounds like… and he’s not 100% sure he’d recommend it! The wine resulted in some post-run manscaping, and now he’s full of regret about the loss of his precious belly hair. Meanwhile, PJ has been teaching his mammy Nuala how to identify AI on the internet… while also worrying that he’s falling victim to it himself!The theme for this week is lost media, as the boys have had some technology disasters this week and lost a full episode of the podcast! This unfortunate incident has inspired them to think about pieces of media that have disappeared- both intentionally and otherwise. They’re also thinking about what pieces of media they’d love to recover from their lives, and the stuff they wish would disappear forever!
  • 263. The Belgese Boy

    56:03||Ep. 263
    Note from PJ & Kevin: Girlies, we've been battling gremlins when it comes to technology this month; first we lost a whole episode (more on that later), and this episode we had some audio issues when one of our mics started acting up mid-record. We've done our best to salvage it because we loved this ep- hopefully it's not too distracting for ye!This week, Kevin catches us all up on his trip to the Lake District with the CrossFit crew, and his viral tiny blind video! The theme is dating disasters: we've all made some questionable decisions when it comes to dating, and there's no judgement here at I'm Grand Mam. The lads hear some hilarious submissions telling tales of red flags, bad behaviour and smelly feet.
  • 262. Sauna, I Go Solo

    56:56||Ep. 262
    PJ's been looking after his niece and nephew this week, and it's given him a newfound appreciation for everything our mams and dads did for us growing up: parenting isn't easy girls! Meanwhile Kevin is pondering getting a new therapist, but fighting hard against the urge to book a hot gay one.                 The theme for this week is happiness, and the lads are unpacking the difference between being happy and content, while wondering what it really means to be happy. PJ breaks out some inspirational quotes for motivation, and Kevin wonders whether being in a relationship is something he needs to be happy in the long run?
  • 261. BFG: Big Friendly Gay

    55:19||Ep. 261
    Kevin and PJ have both encountered some serious road rage this week, and they can’t help but wonder: were people always this angry? They’re also officially speaking out against meta glasses, and posing the question: why do people spend money on designer sunglasses?The theme for this week is celebrity memoirs, as both the lads (and the rest of the world) have been reading Famesick by Lena Dunham. They talk about their favourite celeb memoirs, unpack why we love them so much, and brainstorm titles for their own tell-alls!
  • 260. Tonguing Tara

    55:03||Ep. 260
    The boys are back from their month-long break and they’re feeling refreshed, recharged and ready to record! They’ve done some lovely wholesome bits: farm stays and trips to Achill Island. But they’ve also got up to their fair share of chaos, true to form!The theme for this week is hiatuses, as the lads discuss why going on a break is good for the body and soul. They talk about celebs that have taken prolonged breaks, wonder if hiatus is the word of the year, and wonder if Katseye need a break before every single one of them ends up on an indefinite hiatus!
