Established in 1980, the National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA) is a registered charity and membership-based organisation. They aim to ensure people with unmet literacy and numeracy needs have access to learning opportunities and can fully participate in society. What literacy does is it allows us to fully engage in society. Sarah McIntosh speaks to Colleen Dubee, chief executive officer, NALA on breaking down the stigma surrounding literacy.
