On the Season Finale of ‘If Taps Could Talk’, we’re back in Cork chatting with comedian Chris Kent. Recorded in The Oval, considered one of the city’s greatest pubs, Chris tells Crossy about his journey from hard-working electrician to becoming a stand-up sensation.&nbsp; He talks about the challenges of constantly touring across Ireland, his love of pubs for building life-long friendships and how he managed to give up all his digital devices, despite his busy schedule. As an outstanding humanitarian, Calvin has dedicated himself to aiding the most vulnerable in war-torn regions across the globe. From Cambodia, India, Iraq and Yemen, he spent six months as a medic in wartorn Syria.&nbsp; His efforts have changed lives - he’s built schools, ambulances, and hospitals, crossed borders under cover, while rescuing both desperate refugees and stranded pets from the chaos of conflict. This week Crossy is joined by Karla Chubb, lead singer of Sprints. As the frontwoman and songwriter for the celebrated Irish garage punk band Sprints, Karla Chubb has firmly established herself as a commanding voice in the genre. Known for her raw, unfiltered lyrics and electrifying stage presence, Karla has become a key figure in the Irish punk revival, spearheading the band into the charts with their fearless energy and uncompromising sound. Over the past few years, Sprints have shared the stage with acclaimed acts such as The Gossip, Idles, Suede and Fontaines DC. Beyond the music, Karla is a passionate advocate for LGBTQ+ visibility, mental health awareness, and the transformative power of art as a form of resistance. Crossy chats to Easkey Britton in Shoot the Crows, Sligo Town.

In this week’s episode, Crossy chats to Dr. Easkey Britton. Easkey Britton grew up with the ocean in her blood. Her legendary gran was rumoured to have kickstarted Irish surfing craze in the 1960s by bringing two surfboards home from California - Easkey’s dad and uncles became some of the first to ride Ireland’s notorious waves. By the age of four Easkey was surfing too and the sea has shaped her life ever since. Crossy and Easkey talk over a few pints of Beamish in the legendary pub ‘Shoot the Crows’ in Sligo Town. Easkey is a five-time Irish National Surfing Champion, having won the title consecutively with her final win in 2010. In 2009, she also earned the title of British Pro-Tour Champion. She is a pioneer in big wave surfing, notably being the first woman to surf ‘Aill na Searrach’ a challenging 15-foot wave off the Cliffs of Moher, a feat documented in the film ‘Waveriders’. In 2011, she became the first Irish woman and the first woman ever to be nominated for a WSL Big Wave Award for tow surfing at Mullaghmore. Beyond these achievements, Britton is known for introducing surfing to women in Iran and beyond. She’s not just a fearless surfer—nominated as the first Irish woman for the Global WSL Big Wave Awards—but also a scientist, activist, and changemaker with a PhD in Environment and Society.&nbsp;Easkey is passionate about using the ocean to connect people and spark change. Her books, ‘Saltwater in the Blood’ and ‘Ebb and Flow’, explore our deep bond with water and nature. In the first ever episode of 'If Taps Can Talk', Thomas ‘Crossy’ Crosse talks to Dan Lambert. Dan is the manager of Kneecap, the rap trio from West Belfast and Derry, best known for merging Irish and English in their politically-charged music. Dan is also the Chief Operating Officer of Bohemians Football Club, based in North Dublin -&nbsp;he has established the ‘Bohs’ club as a global brand, as well as one of Ireland’s oldest and most cherished football clubs. Dan and Crossy talk over a few pints of Beamish in Cumiskeys in Broadstone in North Dublin to discuss Dan’s amazing career so far. Dan oversaw Kneecap enjoying the biggest year of their career to date -thrilling audiences at music festivals like Electric Picnic and Glastonbury.
