    Join Zach Hanner and Tamara Federici for a rerelease as they discuss Da Howlies again.Zach Hanner is an actor, writer, director and musician and, along with upright bassist Jones Smith and guitarist John McIntyre, plays ukulele in Da Howlies Hawaiian band. The group has performed their own blend of “Southern-Fried Hawaiian Music” in southeast North Carolina for the past 20 years.     Once again, you're listening to a conversation between Tom Chalmers, a Van Halen fan, and Tamara Federici, producer of every band ever.Join writer and performer Tom Chalmers and producer of every band ever Tamara Federici as they discuss Van Halen.Tom Chalmers is a writer, performer, professor, and professed music show rat (as in he goes to a lot of them). A graduate of Columbia University, Tom spent his summers in Chicago taking classes at Second City and Improv Olympic (with the legendary Del Close). After college, Tom stayed in New York to study with Groundlings East/Gotham City Improv where he became a member of the performing company, an instructor, and the Artistic Director. He eventually left for LA where he wrote for SHOWTIME television and appeared in a handful of national commercials and feature films. Tom has since settled in Asheville, NC, where he is an Adjunct Professor at Warren Wilson College and runs his own academy, The Asheville School of Improv. He is part of the popular improv troupe, Reasonably Priced Babies, the host and producer of the long-running storytelling series, Listen to This, and co-host of the weekly sports talk radio show, Run That Back, on AshevilleFM. Daisy Hobbs, Broadway actress and comedian, considers the recently departed icon Tina Turner and probes Tamara for info on why they made so many songs about bodies of water. We miss you Tina. Tamara re-names Ike"Julian' just to make him mad.Daisy Hobbs is a former Broadway actress turned comedy writer. Her scripts center quirky Black female protagonists and diverse casts as delusional misfits with hearts of gold. Daisy is also an accomplished songwriter, and hopes to one day write the next great musical cult classic.     This is a re-release of a conversation between the members of Bicycle Face and Tamara Federici.Join Mitchell McGirt, Brian Huskey, Chris Longworth, and host Tamara Federici as they take a look back at Bicycle Face.Bicycle Face was a North Carolina band hailing from Greensboro and a staple of the fertile music scene from 1988-1994, performing w Polvo, Archers of Loaf, Zen Frisbee, Geezer Lake and countless other bands. Mitchell McGirt (guitar, vocals), Brian Huskey (bass, vocals) and Chris Longworth (drums) had a unique sound for the scene with nods to Camper Van Beethoven, Meat Puppets, Buck Owens and classic garage rock. An initial four song 7 inch record and their full length album, “Trust and Obey” were released on the now defunct Moist Records and were followed up by the “Christafari” 7 inch on Squealer Records and “The Red Hat Man” on Greensboro’s D-Tox Records.
