033: Josh Butler

Season 3, Ep. 33

Josh Butler has had a meteoric rise within the scene as a talented producer, an in-demand DJ and a personality who, in the words of Pete Tong, is “one of the UK’s premier house music talents.” After discovering a love of creating music via sequencing tracks on his PlayStation, a young Josh moved to New Zealand with his family and it was there that he began to produce the tracks that eventually led him back to the UK to study music tech at university. Josh’s breakthrough single “Got A Feeling” (originally championed by Will from Chase & Status) was such a success that it paved the way for Josh to play all over the world, setup his own label where he has worked with some of house music’s original maestros such as Todd Terry and tour with bona-fide disco legend Nile Rodgers and Chic.
