Nav Sanghara is CEO of the Woodland Academy Trust, having started her career as a teaching assistant before rising through the ranks to become a headteacher and now CEO.
Nav shares some lessons that genuinely inspired me — particularly the importance of duality in leadership: being a leader is part of who you are, but it shouldn’t become all that you are.
She also explains why resilience isn’t about ignoring difficult emotions — it’s about feeling them, accepting them, and still finding a way forward — and shares the work she’s doing to improve the representation of women in education.
