BitMex is one of the world's leading cryptocurrency derivatives exchanges, founded in 2014 and owned by HDR Global Trading Limited. Prior to BitMex, Marcus was the Managing Director of Europe and the General Counsel at Coinbase, where he played a leading role in building and scaling the business and establishing and developing relationships with regulators worldwide.
Today, Marcus talks about the perception problems in the crypto and digital assets industry, what regulators are looking for, and how the regulators' engagement and interest have changed over the years.
