We meet Charles, a consultant in palliative care. That’s the care and treatment offered to people who are facing the end of their lives and the ways their quality of life can be improved. Charles talks through some of the issues that arise when working with people who are dying, including questions about “a good death”. We also talk about the difficulties and frustrations of working during the pandemic when Charles and his team have found it hard to reach those most at need and have had to be creative in their approach.
