    14:45
We've had a brilliant inaugural month of Radio Headspace. Thanks everyone for being a part of it so far! As I said last week, the podcast has provided a platform for some incredibly inspiring stories, from aspiring astronauts to extreme runners, through to scientists explaining why our minds work the way they do. This week I sat down with Headspace's Andy Puddicombe to answer some of your questions about how to stay motivated throughout the rest of the year, even when it's cold outside and we want to stay in bed instead of going to the gym. Enjoy, and as always you can reach us at radio@headspace.com, or @get_headspace on Twitter

    32:10
On this week’s Radio Headspace, we’re exploring the very limits of the Anti-Excuse Project, talking to two people taking on challenges so beyond our normal human experience that they are entirely without precedent. We talk to Jamie Ramsay who is currently running from Vancouver to Buenos Aires, and Kellie Gerardi, who is hoping to be one of the first humans to settle on Mars with the proposed Mars One mission launching in 2024. As always, if you want to join the conversation you can always email us radio@headspace.com or talk to us on Twitter @get_headspace www.headspace.com --- To find more about the Mars One mission: http://www.mars-one.com To find more about Jamie and the charities he is fundraising for on his journey: http://jamieisrunning.com

On this week's podcast, our resident neuroscientist Dr Claudia Aguirre is back as part of our Anti-Excuse Project to talk about something else that we sometimes put off or find excuses not to do. Being more charitable and altruistic is something we often resolve to do, but sometimes don’t quite get round to, so Dr Claudia is here with me today to talk about why that is, if being charitable makes us happy, if we can ever really be genuinely selfless in this. As always you can get in touch with us at radio@headspace.com, or on Twitter @get_headspace using the hashtag #radioheadspace www.headspace.com

On this second episode of Radio Headspace, we're continuing with January's Anti-Excuse Project, and this week looking at the idea of running away from our pasts and towards our future. This is something I explored in a blog post at the end of 2014, but wanted to expand this idea further, and talk to two amazing athletes about running towards challenges, and away from challenging times. This podcast features Blue Benadum, a man who has run over 50 marathons in the last 8 years and recently ran from LA to Vegas just to see how quickly it could be done, and Leigh Gerson, one of the fastest women on the New York running circuit right now, and someone who turned her entire life around to get to where she is today. www.headspace.com Photo credit: Shannon Moss

A weekly journey into how the mind works, and what the mind is capable of. Hosted by Georgie Okell. Episode 1: The inaugural show introduces our Anti-Excuse Project. Georgie talks to mindfulness expert and Headspace founder Andy Puddicombe about the pressure we put on ourselves to make resolutions, and to neuroscientist Dr Claudia Aguirre about why the brain tends to procrastinate when it comes to achieving our goals. www.headspace.com Photo credit: Shannon Moss
