Developer Proposes Luxury Rental Complex at Old Humane Society Site

Developer Proposes Luxury Rental Complex at Former Humane Society Site in Westport A local developer, Joseph Feinleib, plans to transform the old Connecticut Humane Society site into a 30-unit luxury rental complex. Feinleib, through his company four fifty-five Post Road Holdings, intends to build two buildings on the 1.76-acre lot at 455 Post Road, which will require demolishing the existing 7,195 square foot humane society building and a smaller outbuilding. The project includes one building with 25 apartments and another with 5 townhomes, totaling 64,327 square feet. It features 9 one-bedroom units, 9 two-bedroom units, and 12 three-bedroom units, with 6 units designated as affordable housing. Feinleib, who runs Coastal Luxury Homes, has already built similar high-end projects in Westport and Norwalk. He purchased the property in late July for $3.5 million, following the humane societys move to Wilton. The design draws inspiration from classic New England architecture, offering a modern twist. The proposal is now under review by the towns Planning and Zoning Department for further consideration. Checkout Solipillow.com
