308. Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi REVIEW (SPOILERS)

Tales of the Jedi is a 6-part mini-series that takes place at various times during the prequel era. They follow two characters, Ashoka Tano and Count Dooku. There are three episodes each on both of them. J.C. Reifenberg, the official Star Wars Insider of the Hall of Justice podcast, rejoins the show to discuss this new animated entry into the Star Wars saga. JC works for Deadline Media as well as Kevin Smith. He also owns the Scum and Villainy Cantina, located in Hollywood, California. In this episode, they discuss the continuity of the series and how it is interwoven not only with the feature films, but also with the Clone Wars animated series. For continuity, it takes place after the events of season four of The Boys. After season one, actor Chance Perdomo died tragically in a horrible motorcycle accident. From the beginning of season two, the storyline incorporated the death of Perdomo's character, Andre, in a uniquely and creatively compelling way. They also wrote the Marvel feature Spider-Man 2 in 2004.Ralph Garman, who hosts the daily podcast The Ralph Report and is an actor/voice actor, returns to the show to review Wednesday. Nhut Le plays Judomaster and joins the show.Judomaster is described as a martial arts-based bodyguard who has a vendetta against Peacemaker and John Economos, played by John Cena and Steve Agee, respectively. In season two, Judomaster plays an increased role in the development of the story. He has some incredible scenes with Cena and Daniele Brooks, who plays Leota Adebayo.Le was born in Vietnam but came to America when he was six years old. His first film role was in the 2013 martial arts comedy film Martial Science. He also appeared in the hit TV show Kroll Show.In this episode, Nhut discusses his upbringing and the reaction to his appearance in the Peacemaker series. This new universe was labeled as a reboot of DC stories, ending the string of films that included Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, etc. The first entry into the new “DC Studios” was the animated series Creature Commandos. The storyline of this show immediately tied into the aforementioned The Suicide Squad film, muddying continuity from the onset.This episode of the podcast talks about Creature Commandos but also the DC Studios launch, which includes the 2025 Superman film and Season 2 of the show Peacemaker.
