  • 7. E7: John Wainwright - Body In The Freezer

    01:05:48
In this episode, Annie & Beth talk through the discovery of John Wainright’s body and how the police officers and forensic scientists worked incredibly hard to give John the respect and justice he deserved. The episode shows that in order for a crime to be solved, evidence has to be analysed by scientists across the country, in order to piece together the truth of the story. In this case, forensic odontology was essential in both confirming John’s identity and determining what had happened to him before his death. To see the bodycam footage and evidence in more detail, watch Series 4, Episode 1 - Forensics: The Real CSI on BBC iPlayer. Huge thanks to our sponsor Think Forensic for supporting the podcast. • 5. E5: The Pottery Cottage Murders

    01:32:51
In this episode, Annie & Beth talk through the harrowing events of Pottery Cottage Murders, where the Minton/Moran family were targeted due to nothing but the location of their home and resulted in four of the family members being brutally killed. The family were held hostage for a harrowing 55 hours, between the 12th and 14th of January. The family home was in the small village of Eastmoor, Chesterfield. The case will be centred around the victims, shedding light on their lives and ensuring they are remembered. In this case, we do however feel it’s important to talk a little about the history of the perpetrator, to demonstrate the kind of person he was.The Pottery Cottage Murders: The terrifying true story of an escaped prisoner and the family he held hostagehttps://amzn.eu/d/j8ZJWwq
