Good Time Sallies

In part 2, we return to the fascinating life of Régine Zylberberg, the true pioneer of the discotheque scene. This time, we're following her from Paris all the way to the Whiskey a Go Go and the creation of Chez Regine, checking out all her innovative ideas for nightclubs. We'll find out about the hurdles she faced, like less-than-ideal club conditions and the search for a real home base, leading to her big move to New Jimmy's. Plus, we're digging into how she changed up fashion, music, and nightlife itself, from throwing themed parties to teaming up with Serge Gainsbourg and taking her clubs international. We'll see how she even launched a music career and totally shook up the global disco world!

Meet our next Queen of Clubs and the final Sally in our first season! She was a dancer and club kid until she took over her first club and helped launch the original discotheque craze in the 1950s. In the 1970s she took her brand global and installed nightclubs in her name in cities around the world. At one time in history (and with the help of a Concorde jet) you could party at one of her hotspots 17 out of every 24 hours. Karl Lagerfeld said "she simply invented nightclubbing." Who Is She?
