Pride, Learning from Auschwitz, Eurohockey, Longevity in the Kitchen

June is Pride month, we continue to look at the individual stories of members of the local LGBTQ+ community. Speaking about the challenges faced and how Pride continues to be relevant.


We're finding out more about Learning from Auschwitz, an initiative that organises visits to the site of the Second World War concentration camp. Naomi Hassan-Weisfogel will join us shortly, along with some of the students who are preparing to travel to Poland this year.


Eagles Hockey Club has come top in a Eurohockey challenge. We'll hear from team manager Chris Gomila along with players Joe Borg and Liam Lakhlia about their recent success.


And speaking to us about longevity in the kitchen, Eva Guerini will give us the inside scoop on her new book.

    Gemma Arias-Vasquez is a step closer to becoming Gibraltar's first female Chief Minister. Ms Arias Vasquez was be in the studio alongside Nigel Feetham, who says he will not put his name forward. Also in today's episode: recent figures show that fraud losses in Gibraltar have amounted to 2.6 million pounds so far this year. We'll be speaking to members of the Gibraltar Bankers' Association about the growing threat and how people can protect themselves.We'll bring you the latest sports news ahead of the weekend - including a look ahead to Gibraltar vs Bulgaria later this afternoon in the Women's European Qualifiers . And today marks World Environment Day. Locally, the Nautilus Project is using the occasion to encourage everyone to do their part in protecting Gibraltar's waters and coastline.

    We’ll hear from the Gibraltar Fire and Rescue Service following this morning’s fire at Ocean Spa Plaza. Residents were evacuated while crews dealt with the blaze, and thankfully no injuries have been reported.It's a jampacked show today - Special Olympics Gibraltar has returned from the Switzerland National Summer Games with an outstanding medal haul after a successful bowling competition. Some of the athletes and team members will be joining me in the studio.We’ll also be joined by the recipients of this year’s Youth Achievement Awards, recognising young people who have made a positive impact through leadership, achievement and community spirit.And this morning saw the presentation of the Brave Hearts Awards. The awards celebrate the courage of young people living with serious illnesses or undergoing medical treatment.Plus, Gibraltar’s first Green Bus Stop will be officially launched tomorrow. The project, led by the Horticultural Society and OTWO, forms part of the wider Green Gibraltar campaign.

    The number of sex offenders registered in Gibraltar has increased to 52. This represents a rise of almost 25% since February last year. Justice Minister Nigel Feetham intends to pass a law to keep sex offenders behind bars for longer.With the countdown on for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, we hear from Team Gibraltar's Chris Walker and veteran sports reporter, John Shephard.Europa Women's Hockey players are back from a successful EuroHockey tournament.
