Welcome back, this week: Darkness – by Lord Byron. We take a turn into the natural world this week, with Darkness, a poem by Lord Byron. Written in July 1816, when the largest volcanic eruption on record cast darkness across much of north-east America and northern Europe. It was known as The Year without Summer.
