GGP #25 - Scott Niswander Interview

I'm a huge fan of the YouTube channel, NerdSync Productions. For years, Scott Niswander has put out quality videos exploring fascinating topics ranging from history, science, philosophy, culture, and art. The best part though is that he makes some of these complex ideas a little more accessible and easy to understand by using heroes and villains from the world of comic books. And I love me some comic books...

If you're not familiar with NerdSync, check out the video above (hidden behind the featured image) for a behind the scenes look at the NerdSync studio. You can also check out their most popular videos here.

Anyway, Scott was kind enough to take some time out of his busy production schedule to sit down with us and discuss his channel, his favorite heroes, and how he uses comic books to teach others about the world in which we live. If you're interested in anything geeky, then this is a conversation that you definitely want to hear. And once you're done listening, go show NerdSync some love over on their Patreon page.

And while we're talking about Patreon, we'll be posting video of this conversation exclusively for our supporters. It's not too late to get in on that action!

Special thanks to Scott for joining us. We also want to thank our own Patreon supporters, Ruff and Zane.

  • GGP #24 - Chris Provost Interview

    44:44
With Salt Lake Comic Con coming up September 21-23, we thought it would be fun to mix things up a bit and sit down with someone that isn't Dan Farr to talk about the event and what takes place behind the scenes. (Not that we don't like to talk with Dan, because we do, but we thought that a change would be good.) So instead of Dan, we were joined by Salt Lake Comic Con emcee, and awesome joke teller, Chris Provost.Come listen as Chris tells us some of his favorite experiences from previous conventions, including how Walter Koenig from Star Trek played an epic prank on him backstage. He also manages to share a few awesome jokes, and of course we talk about his amazing wife, Amanda and her love for Darth Vader. It's a fun conversation that not only gives you insight into what takes place literally behind the scenes at Salt Lake Comic Con, it also sheds light on the man, the myth, the legend that is Chris Provost. For more of Chris, be sure to subscribe to his YouTube channel where you can find awesome nuggets like the video below. You can also follow his adventures on Instagram and Facebook. Thanks to Chris for taking time out of his busy schedule to chat with us. And thanks to our Patreon supporters, Bruce, Ruff, and Zane!
