Get Fawked
Not A Guide To Fine Dining
Season 1, Ep. 18
•
The Fawkers start the show with a look at bullying in the playground and this brings them round to discussing culinary tricks when out at a restaurant or carvery. Ultimately the conversation descends into chaos as you would expect from this bunch, and before too long the only thing left on the menu is bugs and critters. The conversation takes a further comedic turn towards the end when the Fawkers' discuss the culling of animals due to the over production of methane, which is a gas.
It can be confirmed that the secret of the carvery Yorkshire Pudding is revealed in this episode. The carvery will never be the same again.
As usual there is strong language, silly interjections and random streams of consciousness throughout.

19. Everyday AI Writes The Book
55:53||Season 1, Ep. 19The Fawkers investigate the Creative aspect of AI, and question whether its capabilities for original thought could create movies, books, sculptures, and paintings that could one day be worth more than anything that a human has, or could create. The Fawkers also devise a plan to test the AI platforms on their understandings of human emotions and feelings, to see if they could struggle for their art like the great masters once did. Would they use hammers and chisels, or just 3d printers? All this (as usual) is weaved into the Fawkers' off beat sense of humour, and their inability to fully deep dive into any given subject. There are no rehearsals, and no retakes. Just... Fawkers, and the Fawking Fawkers who tell them.GetFawked The Podcast Podcasts Page Yorkshire UK
17. Myths, Monsters, And Leg Ends
38:55||Season 1, Ep. 17The Fawkers look into the old world stories that have been passed down over the decades and centuries. Does the moon really play havoc with our bodies and brains when at its fullest? What is Adrenochrome? What does Nessie drink? Do all vampires wear designer suits? All these questions that you didn't know you needed the answers to, and barely any answers to work with. Get Fawked isn't really here to answer the questions as much as it it to question the answers. Talk proceeds onto modern football before wrapping up on a particular myth from Ghana. As usual there is strong language, ridiculous tales, and general chaos throughout.GetFawked The Podcast Home Page Yorkshire UK
16. The Assassination Of Ann Widdecombe
41:54||Season 1, Ep. 16The Fawkers tackle the brutal murder of the former MP in her own home, but in particular they discuss the mindset of her assailant. What possible motives could surround the plot, and what level of complicity or indeed competency the assassin held. Delving further into the conspiratorial world, and exploring the possibility of mind control for the wider subject matter, the hosts continue into the realms of advocacy for free speech, and where the deterrent against such hateful atrocities could come from, when freedoms are restricted. All this, and more coupled with the usual irreverent styles of the Fawkers. As always there is strong language, and topics that some people may find sensitive discussed throughout. This Episode is dedicated to the memory of Ann Widdecombe (1947 – 2026) who fought for people to maintain the right to free speech, especially when that speech was something that she didn't agree with herself. Ann would often choose to debate others whom she had conflicting views with, around a table. This is how progress happens, for only with reasonable debate can we exchange ideas and grow. When people are permitted to hear arguments from all sides, they feel empowered to make a decision that they hold true in their heart, when people are preached to via a diatribe, they are never settled. If it is your preference to silence the voices of others whom do not agree with you, then do not be surprised when others try to silence you. You have laid the path for them. 15. Occupy Mars
55:27||Season 1, Ep. 15The Fawkers discuss the practical realities of what human colonisation of Mars and the Earth's Moon would look like. Why it is necessary, and what kind of psychological metal the first people colonising it would require. Would it mostly be left to the autonomous constructional bodies of AI and robotic builders? What would people living on the red planet become, and would they eventually crave their independence, just as empirical colonies on Earth have?
14. Citizens, Vigilantes, And The Police (Part Two)
48:07||Season 1, Ep. 14The Fawkers continue hypothesising about the pros and cons of replacing the current police model within modern day society with a vigilante group, and how that future may look. Could the public ever potentially be trusted to self govern as they did in the days before the police? As ever strong themes, topics and language are used. If you are the victim of anything related to the subject matter, or ideas discussed within the show, please seek help. More information on where to get help can be found on our webpage at... 13. Citizens, Vigilantes, And The Police (Part One)
37:56||Season 1, Ep. 13The Fawkers discuss the perceived increase of the lack of confidence in the police, and how it looks like there may be a rise in vigilantism on the horizon. They also talk about the broader terms of how societies will govern themselves going forward, and whether this would effectively mean an end to the modern police force. The show starts with a quick synopsis of a recently released movie with a current 'hot topic' named 'Citizen Vigilante', and moves deeper into the subject matter. All of this combined with the Fawkers' usual 'particular set of skills' when it comes to dark comedy and satirical, sardonic social commentary.GetFawked The Podcast Podcasts Page
12. Burnham And Starmer's Very British Drama
25:28||Season 1, Ep. 12The UK will have yet another new PM, as yet another PM resigns. Who will replace Heir Starmer? Is this a one (three legged) horse race? Is the Labour party imploding? Will Andy Burnham prove to be the saviour of the party, or the final nail in its coffin? And don't forget that age old question... What did David Lammy Say?The Fawkers' take a look at the ailing government, and the rival parties' swift allegiance alterations on policy and ship-jumping, picking through the bones and gristle of the UK political system, in the way a cormorant might through a lamb's carcass.
11. Will We Be Another Lost Civilisation?
48:30||Season 1, Ep. 11This time out the Fawkers discuss the past of humanity and lost civilisations, debating whether a similar fate could await the present day us. Knowledge is power and past civilisations have had both, so why is there so little of them that remains, and how could they have achieved the things that they did without our current model of science and scientific understanding? Perhaps this is just a case of history repeating. A bedtime story for you to tell your robot grandchildren perhaps? The Fawkers typical brand of humour flourishes throughout, expect tangents.
