episode 44 - loving awareness w/ Hanuman Dass
I went to George Harrison’s old house, Bhaktivedanta Manor, to record a conversation with Hanuman Dass.
Hanuman Das runs the charity organisation, GoDharmic , that operates on the principles of Love all, Feed all, Serve all.
Before he was known as Hanuman Dass, Hanuman worked and was successful in financial markets. One day, he stumbled across an old copy of Ram Dass‘s Be Here Now. Following that discovery he went on to meet Ram Dass, receive the name Hanuman Dass, and start GoDharmic; grown from the instructions of Neem Karoli Baba - to feed people.
Ultimately, Hanuman operates from a basis of Love, evidenced by his own words in this conversation and encouragement to give money to ANY charity, not specifically GoDharmic, as an act of service.
The journey from selfishness to selflessness is not one that is tied to any one religion or spiritual tradition, but is recognised and practiced by all of them. In this conversation, we spoke about all this and more; including how HD manages stress, the importance of family on his path, and meeting Ram Dass in Maui.
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to speak with HD and thank Ram Dass, Raghu Markus, Rita, and Jaymee Carpenter, amongst others for their roles in this happening.

It is based on a philosophy of consciously creating one's physical experience from within, by choosing more positive, authentic, and inspired states of being than what generally occur by default. The purpose of their creative practice is to remind themself of these heightened states, to offer others a similar inspiration, and to propagate and normalize peace, compassion, joy, and feminine power. Each artwork is meant to be used as a tool for meditation and for the awakening of a particular state of being; sit with it, quiet your rational mind, and observe how it makes you feel.In this episode, John and Marlo discuss her current experiences with healing from trauma and different modalities that have helped her access different states of consciousness overtime.Marlo's Website: marlo.art
