Game in Hand

Part of me knows there is someone's personal experience buried deep in this art piece of a game. Decided on a style, a motif, every person and object in their place for a reason, and a story to show as much as tell all of that. The other part of me is an opinionated jerk who plays a lot of games though, and that part never shuts up...

**Just a quick note, this was recorded on the weekend and as of July 6, it has apparently been more explained what is happening to the microsoft owned studios and more than a few are remaining active or buying back their studio so ignore any conflicting info from the speaking jerk**Forza always seems to fill a void of more arcade-y but car enjoyer racing games in my heart that The Crew once occupied. You can get as sim racer as you'd like with their driving assist options and ad-hoc driver difficulty but I always surrender to the zany modes eventually. Though, I feel it does separate the casual players from the truly devoted, being just over a month old and expecting drivers to be max rank and gold wrist banded.

One of the must plays if you like retro games and like when people release games in a polished state. Had a solid experience playing this one, although I think having everything split up and uh... no clear good ending or notion of doing it, adds some saltiness to an otherwise amazing game.

More than once you'll hear me compare it to a laptop and you should know, I culled like 10 more references to just buying laptops. I feel compelled to blurt out "why replace closed flat rectangle with cube?" Why "replace keyboard and mouse, or controller with... nothing?" "Why is it only a savings if you buy the controller at the same time?" "Why is the dbrand case $100 USD?"At least the good news is the last 40 days or so has been a pretty good burst of decent PC games. You can get your steam machine and then play mina the hollower at 4K and 120fps, at its highest settings, and then forza 6 on low at a stumbly 50fps with upscaling.

One does not simply buy one reasonably priced handheld and then be content with their purchase. When you start spending what was originally a steam deck's worth of money chasing incremental upgrades or the desire for the "perfect" device, bank accounts empty quickly. Just don't be like me...

While originally this was going to be the hardest crashing out games I've ever done, it's closer to a full games list of games I tried to force myself to enjoy, or did enjoy until developers/publishers ruined it for everyone. No low hanging fruit on this one like your Veilguards or e-sport shooters. These are all games I bought or was able to play with the intention of loving and then got scarred so deeply, I can recall my disdain in a moments notice. I think if you stopped the episode at the honourable mention, I'd get it. Some people like me are just criminally insane but walk in daylight pretending to be normal.
