#079 It’s All In The Risk!

Season 1, Ep. 79

It’s our third and final episode with Nicole Russo, Founder of Let’s Get You and personal stylist to many famous and c-suite professionals.

This is often where our guests share their most vulnerable moments, as they share what major events have got them to the leader they show up as today.

We talk about digging in to save face, focusing on what’s next, and those that supported the decisions she made, to help her move forwards.

Put away the distractions and have a listen to the great leadership conversation that Nicole and I have. I have so enjoyed the conversation and looking forward to the next time we get together.

The final question I’ve asked you to consider today is, what one thing are you going to do to now, to grow your leadership comfort zone? If you would like a coaching thought partner to help you work that out, then do get in touch. I’d love to help you connect with your purpose, so you can be leading yourself and others, to the results that are right for you.

Questions to consider whilst listening:

  • What risks have you taken to prove to others ‘you can do it’ that have paid off for you in your leadership?
  • When was the last time you took a risk with something that scared you in leadership? How did it work out for you?
  • How do you ensure you don’t get pulled down into the weeds, in the moment, and focus on what’s next?
  • Who are the people that have helped you when you’ve needed it most in your leadership journey?
  • What serendipitous moments have you noticed that have helped you progress in your leadership journey?
  • How comfortable are you with being uncomfortable?
  • What one thing could you do to start pushing your comfort zone to positively grow your leadership?
  • What have you achieved now, that on reflection, was really uncomfortable as you started the journey to achieve it?

  • 72. #072 How Much Fun Are You Having Whilst Leading?

    23:57
This is our second episode with Karim Doukir, Fresh Prince of Retail and what a guy! I cannot wait to share the chat we had all about games and leadership in Karim’s world of retail. We had some great discussions – we go from games as systems to staying engaged within an organisation for 16 years. Everything is a game in Karim’s world and it’s a great place to explore. I’ve a feeling this episode will divide some of you between those that support this approach to leadership and those that don’t. As always, share your thoughts and comments with me, as this is what Game of Leadership is all about – the community of leaders, that’s you, sharing your thoughts and using ideas, tips and techniques from the show, to help you show up as the leader you want to be. The final question I’ll ask you to consider today is, what are you going to do to connect with your team at a deeper level, that includes some fun? If you would like a coaching thought partner to help you work that out, then do get in touch. I’d love to help you connect with your purpose, so you can be leading yourself and others, to the results that are right for you. Questions to consider whilst listening:How are you ensuring you are a ‘cool’ leader? How are you using gamification in your business to support you? (Gamification is adding game mechanics into nongame environments)How are elements of this, helping you to have ‘fun’ in the workplace? How could you use gamification to increase employee engagement? What one idea for a game, ice breaker our something of your choosing, could you think of now, to open next week’s team meeting? What outcomes are you looking for that idea to achieve? How are you going to introduce it and review it with the team? How could you get the team involved next time? Guest Resources:LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/thefreshprinceofretail/Host Resources:How resilient are you?
