Fringe Forecast, Full Length Ep. 1

Season 2019, Ep. 1

About: For our inaugural episode Andrew Simonet, a beloved Philadelphia author and choreographer who used to be the Co-Director of Headlong Dance Theater, sits down for an exclusive interview to reflect on how he grew up with the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. He reflects on Nick Stuccio, the festival founder, approaching him when this festival was only a seedling of an idea. Hear about Andrew's experiences producing 13 Fringe shows over the course of 16 years. Also hear show recommendations from Christopher Munden, editor of the Fringe guidebook, and a critical reflection of The Wooster Group's The B-Side: “Negro Folklore from Texas State Prisons” A Record Album Interpretation by Chris and Benjamin Behrend, a local comedian and art administrator.
